Abstract: 

The aim of this paper is to assess the technological capability of an Iranian alloy company and introduce a method for filling its technological gap. To this end, three products which are highly demanded but at present the company is unable to produce were selected and thirty three technologies to produce these products were defined. Then a technology-need management model was applied to determine the company's technological gap. We found that fourteen out of thirty three technologies are needed to fill the company's technological gap. At the end we present a system dynamic model to assist managers for appraising policies on technology acquisition.

Abstract: 

Managers' emotional intelligence has an important effect on organizational climate. Studies show that more than seventy present of employee's perception about organizational climate is directly linked to managers' leadership style which is in turn affected by their emotional intelligence and behavior. The aim of this study is to examine the relation between managers' emotional intelligence and organizational climate they create. A sample of thirty managers from a private car manufacturing firm were randomly selected and a survey questionnaire was conducted covering one hundred individuals; the managers, their superiors, peers and subordinates. The findings of this study show that there is a positive correlation between managers' emotional intelligence and organizational climate. Among emotional intelligence' factors, social awareness and self awareness have more influence on organizational climate and among organizational climate's factors credibility is more influenced by the managers' emotional intelligence.

Abstract: 

Job burnout is a term used to describe resulting negative fluctuations in attitudes, morale and behaviors due to the job distress, working conditions and career predicaments. The aim of this study is to measure the degree and dimensions of job burnout in the Haffar Naft- e Jonoub Company. To this end, a survey was conducted covering a randomly stratified sample of 454 employees for different organizational ranks including workers, staff, technicians, specialists and supervisors. Findings indicate that there is a significant relationship between organizational ranks and job burnout dimensions in the company. These results are consistent with previous studies done by several other researchers from western countries.

Abstract: 

In this study, after a brief discussion on concepts of entrepreneurship and its dimensions, based on the literature review several structural and contextual measures of entrepreneurial organizations were identified. These include formalization, specialization, standardization, hierarchy of authority, complexity, centralization, size, technology, environment and culture. Then a survey questionnaire was conducted to test Iran Insurance Corporation's readiness to becoming an entrepreneurial organization. The findings of this study show that bureaucratic structural and contextual environment of Iran Insurance Corporation is not favorable for an entrepreneurial climate to emerge.

Abstract: 

Entrepreneurship is a process of innovation and new venture creation aided by government initiatives and policies. The role that government plays in these collaborative processes has been widely acknowledged by both academics and practitioners. In this article we examine the literature on policies that government agencies may formulate and implement to promote an entrepreneurial climate. We studied some major policy frameworks and finally suggest a policy guideline to be adopted by those in policy making positions.

Abstract: 

Employee satisfaction has become one of the critical issues in management sciences. Numerous studies investigate the antecedences and consequences of the construct. This paper has tried to study the importance of job satisfaction/dissatisfaction and its impact on organizational performance and customer satisfaction. Also, different factors affecting employee satisfaction have been addressed; and employee involvement and satisfaction have been stressed as two of the major aspects of continuous improvement and satisfied customers. It has been highlighted that senior managers play a major role in obtaining desirable levels of employee satisfaction. Also, it has been found that relationship between job satisfaction and organizational performance is much more complicated than what is expressed in existing resources. Paper suggestions have provided a new prospect of implementing employee satisfaction programs for managers and researchers.
