Employee satisfaction has become one of the critical issues in management sciences. Numerous studies investigate the antecedences and consequences of the construct. This paper has tried to study the importance of job satisfaction/dissatisfaction and its impact on organizational performance and customer satisfaction. Also, different factors affecting employee satisfaction have been addressed; and employee involvement and satisfaction have been stressed as two of the major aspects of continuous improvement and satisfied customers. It has been highlighted that senior managers play a major role in obtaining desirable levels of employee satisfaction. Also, it has been found that relationship between job satisfaction and organizational performance is much more complicated than what is expressed in existing resources. Paper suggestions have provided a new prospect of implementing employee satisfaction programs for managers and researchers.
