The fact that practical politics is a function of concepts and theories has made the analysts endeavor specifically to understand the meaning and executive aspects derived from the nature of concepts in order to realize and prescribe managerial models. One of these basic concepts especially dealt with in contemporary political philosophy is "expediency".The conceptual and theoretical rendering of "expediency" in Iranian intellectual heritage are the assets that justify our asking about the nature and practicality of expediency in Iranian thought. The indigenous nature of this analytical framework and the presence of normative elements in it are other reasons that determine the necessity of such a question.To answer this question, the writer has first, and succinctly, surveyed the main fields of political thought in Iran and, on that basis, has tried to realize the meaning and practical principles of expediency in government. The result is a relatively comprehensive picture of expediency which can be presented in modem political philosophy.

After end of Pax Birtanica, Pax Americana begins in Persian Gulf and specially U. S regional Policy plays an important role after the first and second war in the region .This paper examine the impact of U.S invasion in 2003 to lrak Which occupied Kuwait in 1990 and tried to access massive destruction weapons with focusing on security arrangements in Persian Gulf.It is necessary to mention that the Gulf cooperation council could not help and support Kuwait against Irak. Therefore, US and its traditional supporter UK Attacked iraqi batiste regime in attention to change it. Then US attempted to increase its influence and presence in the region for accessing to hegemony in Persian Gulf.The question as follows:What is the impact of U.S regional strategy based on unilateralism after its attack to Irak on regional security arrangements in Persian Gulf?We shall try to answer to this question by descriptive and analytic methodology.

Associating the I.R. of Iran with postmodernism seems to be farfetched at first sight. But a "religion-modernism" relationship as two effective factors in our understanding of a postmodern society has enabled us to claim at least some overlapping features when analyzing the interrelationship of the I.R. of Iran and the western postmodernism. The assumption here has only considered that aspect of postmodernism which deals with the epistemology and the social or individual ideologies. Quite naturally, the I.R. of Iran, the same as postmodernism, is a dependent variable examined according to how the religious knowledge is viewed at the time.The result is the approval of some kind of mutual influence between the Islamic Republic in its general and specific senses and postmodernism in the process of the invigorated religiosity in the present time.

Reconstruction of religious thought is a main Component of religion - political discourse in contemporary Iran and reflects a long-Standing aspiration to revive religion and to make it more amenable to contemporary human needs. Reconstruction involves defining a broader political and social role for religion, adapting religious thought to requirements of time, and utilizing potentials inherent in religion the tight against internal despotism and external domination. Expanding in the Scope of this reconstruction has been a major turning Point in Shi'i Political discourse and Practice.In this article, the issue of reconstruction of Shi'i thought and its impact on contemporary Shi'i Political thought is addressed in light of Morteza Motahari's work and views on reconstruction of religious thought.

When expounding on ethnic problems in Iran, the relations between the members of the ethnic groups and those of the larger community are often neglected and the role of processes and big structures and misuse of ethnic differences by foreign forces and elite groups are highlighted. The present study attempts to understand the ethnic relations from the point of view of people's every day experiences, and the mechanisms by which the social identities and ethnic boundaries are developed in the relations between "self' and "others" and in light of power relations.To achieve this, the writer overviews and criticizes the existing general perspectives and propounds an alternative perspective that combines the "relational" and "constructivist" approaches to ethnic relations. On the basis of this analysis, Iran will continue to have ethnic diversity, while ethnic differences can, under particular circumstances, lead to mobilization of group sentiments and construction of divergent identities. Awareness of such circumstances and factors that elicit tension in ethnic relations in Iran can help policymakers to come up with better and more effective policies.
