The research purpose is to draw a comparison between the quality of life, life satisfaction, sex role attitude and self-esteem among the students with high and low body image; therefore, 240 male and female students were selected using random cluster sampling among from Islamic Azad University, Ahvaz branch and underwent the test with regard to the abovementioned variables. Results indicated that there was a significant difference amongst students with low and high body image regarding the quality of life and its components, life satisfaction, sex role attitude and self-esteem.

The research purpose is to investigate the effectiveness of the eclectic counseling in decreasing the depression during pregnancy and preventing postnatal depression; therefore, 20 women who had been diagnosed as having depression using "Beck Depression Inventory (BDI)" were selected among from 144 pregnant women attending health and maternity clinics of Hamedan, they were then divided into two experimental and control groups.Having implemented and employed the eclectic counseling on the experimental group, they were provided with eight sixty-minute counseling sessions; moreover, in order to determine and measure the effectiveness of the treatment "Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale" were performed which confirmed that having eclectic counseling is highly effective in decreasing the depression during pregnancy and preventing postnatal depression.

The research purpose is to assess the effectiveness of assertiveness training program in adolescents’ psychological health and self-esteem. Therefore, 30 students were selected among from the ones whose scores were below the cutoff point and were randomly grouped into experimental (n=15) (provided with eight 120-minute assertiveness training sessions) and control group (n=15). Findings concerning the difference between the scores of pretest and post test indicated that there was a decrease in the scores of general health and scores regarding subscales, known as social dysfunction, anxiety and depression (p<%5); however, no support was found with regard to physical symptoms. Additionally, there was an increase of students’ selfesteem comparing their scores in the pretest and post test (p<%1).

This paper reviews the relationship between self-assertion and socialpersonal adjustment in female university students of Masjed Soleiman; thus, 336 female university students were selected using stratified random sampling. Having assessed by "Self-Assertion and Social-Personal Adjustment Questionnaires" investigations have found a significant positive relationship between self-assertion, social-personal adjustment and its subscales.

The research purpose is to investigate the relationship between happiness and personality characteristics among university students therefore, 700 students were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. The tools employed were "The Sixty-Item (NEOPI-R) Questionnaire and Oxford Happiness Inventory". The data analyzed by multi-variable regression analysis showed that among from the five personality factors, happiness is positively, significantly correlated to extraversion and agreeableness and negatively, significantly correlated to neuroticism, accounting for 42 percent of the variance.

The research purpose is to investigate the relationship between behavioral activation system (BAS) and behavioral inhibition system (BIS) with students’ capabilities and behavioral disorders. Our statistical population included all the male and female students studying in junior high school and the first grade of high school in the school year ran from 2003-2004, out of which 600 students (288 boys and 312 girls) were selected using multi-stage sampling and the instruments employed were "Gary and Wilson Personality Questionnaire (GWPQ) and Goodman’s Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)" filling out self-report and parents-report forms.Findings indicated that anxiety disorders are positively, significantly correlated to behavioral approach system, conduct disorder (CD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Overall, our findings also showed a statically significant relationship between behavioral approach system in Gary and Wilson’s theory and students ‘capabilities.

The research purpose is to evaluate the effectiveness of family psychoeducation Atkinson and Coia model) in boosting general health of families of children diagnosed with schizophrenia. Therefore, employing a semi-experimental method, 22 patients were selected through the accessibility mode among which GHQ-28 questionnaire was distributed and responded to. The mentioned sample was then randomly assigned to experimental and control groups and received 10 training sessions. As covariance analysis shows, family psychoeducation is effective in boosting general health, however no significant effectiveness was observed with regard to physical symptoms, depression and social functioning.

The research purpose is to look into the relationship between mother’s relational styles with adolescents’ aggressive behavior. Our sample comprised 380 individuals who had been selected among from male & female high-schoolers and using cluster sampling in Tehran & in the School year ran from 1388 to 1389. The mentioned sample was then tested with regard to child rearing styles and aggressive behaviors. Analyzing the acquired data demonstrated that mother’s dictatorship is positively correlated with adolescents’ aggression; however, the style of dominance & acceptance is negatively correlated with adolescent’s aggression. The results also revealed that mother’s indulgence is negatively correlated to adolescent’s aggression.
