The purpose of this study was to Designing a physical education course model for the second year of high school in Golestan province in order to promote mental health with an Islamic approach. It was an applied research. The research method was descriptive-analytical. This paper was carried out as a field study. The required data was collected through available sources, high level documents, review of literature, expert’ s opinion, review of documents and reports, and finally a questionnaire. The statistical population of the study consisted of senior high school girl students in Golestan province. The number of 16120 people were selected based on five to ten times the number of questions and selected by cluster random sampling. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The face, content, and construct validity of the questionnaire was determined. Factor analysis was used to examine the construct validity. To assess content validity two relative coefficients were used, content validity and content validity index. The average of two relative coefficients of content validity and content validity index were 0. 88 and 0. 92, respectively. Cronbach's alpha was used to confirm the reliability of the tool. The Cronbach's alpha was higher than 85% in all indices. Descriptive statistics (frequency, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics including exploratory factor analysis was used for data analysis. In this study, physical education course management was studied in four separate dimensions, physical and mental health, religious factors, operations, and improvement. From the students’ point of view, the amount of interest in specific sports and exercising it in the school, precise measurement of physical and mental structure in physical education class, the amount of time and caring that a physical education teacher devoted to students and a sufficient amount of sports equipment and space were the highest impact factor, respectively. With the knowledge gained from analyzing and evaluating the dimensions and components of physical education lessons, we could help the related decision makers and authorities to better design each step of the physical education lesson to implement student sports in the schools.
