Introduction: The aim of present study was investigation of the effect of eight weeks power interval training with pomegranate extract consumption on body composition in inactive male students. Methods: 42 inactive boys were randomly divided into four groups including power interval training (n=11), power interval training with pomegranate extract consumption (n=11), pomegranate extract (n=10) and control (n=10). Power interval training program was performed for eight weeks, 3 sessions per week that each session included 2 movements for the upper body (halter chest press and halter wide grip upright row) and 2 movements for the lower body (back jump and Wingate) in 3-5 sets of 10 seconds. Subjects in power interval training + pomegranate extract group (30 min before exercise) and pomegranate extract group consumed 100 ml of pomegranate extract 3 times a week. Results: The results showed that resting metabolic rate increased significantly after 8 weeks in interval Power training + pomegranate extract (P=0. 003), but this increment was not significant (P>0. 05) in the Power interval training group. Relative maximum oxygen uptake increased significantly in the power interval training + pomegranate extract group (P=0. 022), but no change was observed in the other groups. Also, the percentage of fat of the subjects decreased significantly after 8 weeks of power interval training + pomegranate extract (P=0. 012). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it seems that combination of power interval training with pomegranate extract consumption induce an increase in resting metabolism rate and consequently improvement in body composition which can lead to weight loss.

Introduction: The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of two types of intense and exhausting periodic exercise on cardiac electrophysiological changes in non-athlete men. Methods: This quasi-experimental study and the statistical population of this study included non-athlete people with age range 33. 93± 8. 58 years. Of these, 16 were selected through available sampling. Subjects performed the Bruce protocol in a 20-m distance in the intense intermittent group (4 sessions of 30 s activity with maximum intensity and 2 minutes of inactive rest). Wavelength P, QRS, T, as well as R to R frequency, QT segment, P-R and ST segment variations were measured for P and QRS wave height intensities. All variables in this study were taken at rest, immediately after exercise and in recovery period (two hours after exercise). Data was analyzed by SPSS software using ANOVA and LSD tests. Results: There was no significant difference in QT, P-R, QRS and P values between the two training groups. Conclusion: The present study showed that vigorous training such as fatigue training can cause changes in cardiac structural activity. It is recommended to avoid the most intense and exhausting exercises for people who are not ready to adapt to heart rate.

Introduction: In addition to increasing the efficacy of various drugs, Nanoparticles reduce their side effects. In this study, different nanoparticle formulations of doxorubicin anticancer drugs were prepared. The efficacy of the formulations produced in the cell culture medium was studied compared with the free drug. Methods: Reverse phase evaporation was used to form the liposome containing doxorubicin. The graphite nanoparticles were prepared. These nanoparticles were mixed with the liposome containing doxorubicin, and the related Nano-complex was conjugated. Spectroscopy methods for visible light-ultraviolet light and light dynamics differentiation were used to describe nanoparticles. For toxicity of different formulation, MTT and 7-MCF cells were used. Results: The amount of drug loading in the liposomes was 72%. The largest amount was related to the Nano-conjugated complex and the smallest size was related to the graphene-oxide nanoparticle with a nanometer size. The controlled release in 96 hours and the amount of drug release was 95. 43%. Doxorubicin-containing liposome toxicity was 75% and Nano-conjugated complex was 85%, at the lowest drug concentration (10 micromolar). The free drug created 35% cell toxicity in 10 micromolar and 89% in 2500 micromolar. Conclusion: The results of the study showed Liposomes act as a suitable nanoparticle for doxorubicin. It was found that the effect of nanoparticles of graphene oxide is very important. In the presence of this nanoparticle in the complex, toxicity increased significantly.

Introduction: Among the numerous consequences of prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE) is an increase in anxiety-like behavior that can prove debilitating to daily functioning. Clinical and experimental evidence has shown postnatal alcohol exposure causes inflammation in the hippocampus and reduced neurogenesis among other brain regions. This can occur during early growth due to the low levels of antioxidants in the brain can be harmful and dangerous. Obstatin is a newly discovered peptide with antiinflammatory, antioxidant activity, in various animal models. Methods: Through intragastric intubation, ethanol (5. 27 g/kg/day) was administered in male Wistar rat pups on postnatal days 210 (third trimester in humans). The animals received obestatin (1 and 5 µ g/kg, S. C. ) on postnatal days 2-10. Thirty-six days after birth, the anexity test was performed using elevated plus maze test, and then. The level of necrotic and apoptosis cells death was determined via nissl and TUNEL staining after the behavioral test. Results: Obestatin significantly improved anxiety behavioral deficits (P<0. 01), and obestatin treatment could significantly and decreased nissl and tunnel positive cells in the hippocampus of ethanol-exposed rat pups (P<0. 01). Conclusion: The result of this study shows that abstatin had a protective effect on neurodegenerative, alcohol-related behaviors, although further research is needed in the future.

Abstract:

Introduction: Aging is a process in which the body's physiological capacity decreases continuously after the age of 30. One of the major changes is body mass loss (sarcopenia), which is due to decreased blood supply due to inability to exercise. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of continuous aerobic exercise on some angiogenesis indices in elderly male rats. Methods: The sample of this study consisted of 20 elderly male rats that were randomly divided into control (n=10) and experimental (n=10) groups. Eighth arrives. Blood samples were obtained from the tail of adult male rats 72 hours before and after the last session of the protocol of 3 cc (VEGF), FGF, NO and Apelin 13). Independent and dependent T-test was used for analysis of data. Inter-group and intra-group evaluation was performed. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 16 at α =0. 05. Results: Eight weeks of aerobic training significantly increased the levels of VEGF (P=0. 000), NO (P=0. 000), FGF (P=0. 000) and Apelin 13 (P=0. 000) mice. The male became older. No significant changes were observed in the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that eight weeks of aerobic training significantly increased the angiogenesis levels in elderly male rats. Therefore, continuous aerobic exercise can be used as an appropriate method to increase angiogenesis in the elderly.

Introduction: Aging is a process that causes structural and functional changes in the heart. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of aerobic training on the TGF-β / smads signaling pathway, which induces cardiac fibrosis in elderly rats. Methods: In this experimental study, 18 Wistar rats with age (24 months) and mean weight (511. 15 g) were randomly divided into control (n=9) and exercise (n=9) groups. After adjusting to the environment and familiarizing with the practice, the task force performed their program on a treadmill with a steady zero degree slope at a constant speed of 12 m / min for eight weeks and 2 days a week. The training period ranged from 5 minutes in the first week to 52 minutes in the eighth week. The control group did not perform any exercise during this time. Research variables were measured by ELISA method using German ZellBio kit. Inferential t-test was used to analyze the data. Results: The results showed eight weeks of aerobic training on superoxide dismutase (P=0. 001), catalase (P=0. 006), glutathione peroxidase (P=0. 012), transforming growth factor beta (P=0. 001) and tissue collagen percentage had a significant effect on the heart tissue of elderly rats. Conclusion: The results showed that aerobic exercise was effective in improving cardiac oxidative stress indices by increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes in cardiac tissue because, despite increasing TGF-β levels, it prevented the initiation of cardiac fibrosis signaling pathway, which Decreased collagen expression in the heart of aged rats.
