Abstract:

Introduction: with regards to the emergence of Covid-19 disease and the importance of anxiety in nurses' mental health, the aim of this study was to investigate the prediction of Covid-19 anxiety based on cognitive emotion regulation strategies, anxiety sensitivity and psychological toughness in nurses. Methods: This study was cross-sectional from type of correlationa. The statistical population of the study was all nurses working in hospitals in Karaj in the last quarter of 1399, from which 400 people were selected by convenience sampling. In this study, coronary heart disease (CDAS), Cognitive Emotion Regulation (CERQ), Anxiety Sensitivity Inventory (ASI-R) and Psychological Hardness Scale (PHS) were used to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression analysis with enter model SPSS-19 software. Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between cognitive regulation strategies of maladaptive emotion and anxiety sensitivity with coronary anxiety (P <0. 01). There is a significant negative relationship between adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and psychological hardiness with coronary anxiety (P <0. 01). Also, the results of multiple regression analysis revealed that 61. 9% of the variance of coronary anxiety is explained by cognitive regulation of emotion, anxiety sensitivity and psychological hardiness. Conclusions: Adaptive cognitive regulation strategies and psychological hardiness had a negative role and maladaptive cognitive regulation strategies and anxiety sensitivity had a positive role in predicting Covid-19 disease anxiety in patients with type 2 diabetes. Therefore, designing programs to increase adaptive cognitive regulation strategies and psychological toughness and reduce maladaptive cognitive regulation strategies and anxiety sensitivity and their implementation through virtual and e-learning workshops can play an effective role in reducing Covid-19 disease anxiety.

Abstract:

Introduction: Sleep disturbances are one of the most important problems of nurses working in emergency departments. In numerous previous studies, the negative effect of stress on فاث sleep quality has been confirmed. Because reducing the severity of stress in nurses' workplaces, especially in the short term, may not be easily feasible, it is important to consider coping strategies with stress and its relationship to sleep disorders. Methods: In this cross-sectional, descriptive-analytical study, 250 nurses from the emergency departments of BUMS located in South Khorasan province participated. Data were collected through the Demographic Information Questionnaire, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and The Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations. Data were entered into SPSS software V 19. Independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson correlation were used to analyze the data. P values lower than 0. 05 were considered significant. Results: The mean score of nurses' sleep quality was 11. 85 ±,6. 44. There was a fair, inverse and significant relationship between problem-oriented strategy score and sleep quality (p = 0. 001, r = 0. 376) and a weak, direct and significant relationship between sleep quality score and emotionoriented strategy. (P = 0. 003, r = 0. 20). Also, the relationship between sleep quality and avoidance strategy was not significant (p = 0. 10, r = 0. 114). Female nurses reported lower sleep quality than male nurses (P = 0. 001). Also, in nurses with a job tenure of more than two years in the emergency departments, sleep quality was significantly lower than nurses with lower job experience in the emergency departments (P = 0. 003). Conclusions: In programs designed to increase the quality of sleep of nurses working in emergency departments, teaching problem-solving strategies to deal with stress can be considered as an important component.
