Abstract: 

This study examined the effect of attentional bias modification related to food’s stimuli in obese women. The present study used Pretest–Posttest Design with experimental and control groups. To this end, 35 obese women, matched in two separate groups based on weight, age and education level, participated in the study. First, amount of attentional bias toward food words evaluated using probe dot task. Then, attentional bias in one group modified with probe dot task and other group received aplacebo. Again, the amount of attentional bias towards food stimuli in groups was assessed to determine the effectiveness of attentional bias modification task.Results: The experimental group who received attentional bias modification task, comparing with control group, showed, significantly, less attentional bias towards food cues.Conclusion: Attentional bias modification task in obese women were able to reduce the amount of attentional bias towards food cues. Thus, cognitive therapy, beside the other treatment, could help obese woman to be treated.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to study model of male gender role conflict on depression, self-esteem and marital satisfaction women with mediation criticizing husband in Ahvaz city areas municipality's couples. To this end 300 couples (men=300, and women=300) were selected using stratified random method among 4-regin couples in municipalities Ahvaz city and completed Male Gender Role Conflict Scale, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-13), Rosenberg, sSelf–esteem, Marital Satisfaction and Spousal Criticism Scales. The model was tested using path analysis method through AMOS-16. The resultsshowed that the final model with three modification index provides parsimonious fit. The hypotheses we reap proved male gender role conflict on criticizing husband, depression, self-esteem, marital satisfaction, criticizing husband on women, s depression and marital satisfaction, except hypothesis direct effect criticizing husband with the self-esteem women. Indirect effects were significant malegenderrole conflict on depression of women with mediation criticizing husband, and male gender role conflict on marital satisfaction, women, s marital satisfaction with mediation criticizing husband. But, indirect effect was not significant malegenderrole conflict on female self-esteem with mediation criticizing husband. However, it can be concluded that spousal criticism has important role in their partner depression and marital satisfaction.

Abstract: 

This research was aimed for development and investigation of a model about academic resilience based on academic competence and with mediating teacher-student relationship. The current research was conducted by structural equations modeling method. Statistical population was involved the boy and girl students at 11 to 13 years-old in district 6 of Tehran city who study at 6th, 7th, and 8thgrade in middle schools and The 300 of this people was selected as sample by clustered randomized sampling method. The instruments was involved academic resilience scale, teacher-student relationship scale, and academic competence scale. The total effect of academic competence on academic resilience and teacher-student relationship and the total effect of teacher-student relationship on academic resilience was significant at 0.01 level. This model can be used for prediction and intervention about academic resilience in teen Students and reduce their related problems.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was testing and comparing models of relationship between achievement goals and friendship goals with Mathematics performance with mediating role of help-seeking behavior in gifted and non-gifted high school students in Ahvaz. Using Structural Equation modeling. The sample included 120 gifted students that were selected through census method and 120 non- gifted girls that were selected through random multistage sampling method. The instruments include achievement goal questionnaire revised, friendship goals questionnaire and help-seeking questionnaire. The results showed that in 2 groups (gifted and non- gifted), mastery approach goals and friendship approach goals, predict the help-seeking and help seeking predict higher performance in Math while mastery avoidance, performance- approach, performance-avoidance and friendship avoidance goals predict help- seeking avoidance and help seeking avoidance predict lower performance in Math. Also in compare grouping model, there was significant differences in relationship between instrumental help-seeking with mathematics performance and performance goals with help-seeking avoidance. According to the results of this study, having the performance goals predict deficit in help-seeking that be followed by lower Math performance as a result.

Abstract: 

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between perceived competence and academic resiliency with respected to mediating role of autonomous motivation. The target population of the study comprised Tehran universities students who were studying at education and psychology faculties in the academic year of 1393-1394. The sample consisted of 438 students who were selected by random cluster sampling method. The instruments used in this study were: Academic motivation scale (Vallerand & colleagues, 1989), perceived competence scale (Williams & Deci, 1996) and academic resiliency questionnaire (Martin, 2003). The research method applied to this study was structural equation modeling. The results revealed that perceived competence had direct effect to predict academic resiliency. Furthermore, autonomous motivation mediated the relationship of perceived competence with academic resiliency.

Abstract: 

The aim of current research was to investigate mediating role of commitment in relationship between identity styles and eudemonic and hedonistic well-being. A number of 320 male and female students (age mean=20.76 and S.D=2.16) were selected from different faculties of University of Tehran via multistage cluster sampling method. The Identity Style Inventory version 4 (ISI-4) of Philips and Pitman and Keyes Well-being were used. Using path analysis as finding showed, the acceptable fitness with the theoretical model. Result showed; the informative style had direct and significant relation with eudemonic well-being and indirect relation with both well-beings from commitment way; the normative style had direct and significant relation with hedonic well-being and indirect relation with both well-beings from commitment way; the avoidant/diffusion style had negative relation with eudemonic well-being via commitment.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to explain the mediating role of empowering in relationship between organizational intelligence and quality of working life. The sample included all of employees of Islamic Azad university of Marvdasht. The method was descriptive and correlation and 90 employees were selected by stratified sampling. The instrument consisted of three Albrecht organizational intelligence, Ghasemzadeʼ quality of working life and Spreitzerʼ empowering. Mean and standard deviation for descriptive statistic and path analysis using Baron and Keni method and hierarchical regression for inferential statistic were used to analyze data. The result showed that empowering plays a minor role. According to the results, value of beta for organizational intelligence to predict empower has zero correlation and because of indirect impact of organizational intelligence on life quality through empowering, it can be concluded that empowering is considered as a moderating variable for relationship between organizational intelligence and life quality.
