The purpose of this research was to study model of male gender role conflict on depression, self-esteem and marital satisfaction women with mediation criticizing husband in Ahvaz city areas municipality's couples. To this end 300 couples (men=300, and women=300) were selected using stratified random method among 4-regin couples in municipalities Ahvaz city and completed Male Gender Role Conflict Scale, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-13), Rosenberg, sSelf–esteem, Marital Satisfaction and Spousal Criticism Scales. The model was tested using path analysis method through AMOS-16. The resultsshowed that the final model with three modification index provides parsimonious fit. The hypotheses we reap proved male gender role conflict on criticizing husband, depression, self-esteem, marital satisfaction, criticizing husband on women, s depression and marital satisfaction, except hypothesis direct effect criticizing husband with the self-esteem women. Indirect effects were significant malegenderrole conflict on depression of women with mediation criticizing husband, and male gender role conflict on marital satisfaction, women, s marital satisfaction with mediation criticizing husband. But, indirect effect was not significant malegenderrole conflict on female self-esteem with mediation criticizing husband. However, it can be concluded that spousal criticism has important role in their partner depression and marital satisfaction.
