Abstract: 

A Side Channel Attacker tries to infer sensitive information from a security device like a smart card using its power consumption، timing information or electromagnetic emanation. Implementation of cryptographic algorithms، regardless of how much their security is mathematically proven، demand for extra considerations to be secure against SCA. In this paper we introduce a CPU architecture which can execute two queues of instructions randomly interleaved which together comprise a whole cryptographic algorithm. Since execution order of instructions varies from each run to another، power consumption pattern of device is undetermined and can resist against SCA. We also use a set of methods to develop a compiler toolkit which can accept a program and produce two queues of instructions equivalent two the original program. We examined strength of our method، conducting a Correlation Power Analysis which is one kind of SCA.

Abstract: 

In common background subtraction method usually the shadow of objects is extracted as the moving objects that cause some errors in the performance of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In this paper، an effective algorithm based on combination of HSV color space and Principal Component Analysis is proposed. In this algorithm، the candidate shadow region is detected by using HSV color space. In this step، some part of vehicles may be detected as the moving shadow. So، to compensate and improve the performance of moving shadow detection، principal components analysis algorithm is applied to recognize the automobile object by modeling the automobile based on orthogonal eigen vectors of database. Our proposed algorithm is evaluated on real and operational videos of ITS. The obtained results demonstrate the efficiently and effectiveness of our proposed algorithm in the ITS applications.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, advancement in technology provided favorable conditions for the use of solar energy as an important source of renewable energy. This paper proposed a novel refractive structure for increasing the performance of photovoltaic cells.This structure which is named back-to-back-Fresnel lens is similar to conventional Fresnel lens used for energy concentration on PV cells while comprising some superior features.In the novel structure, some important features are added to intensive system which are decrease in loss of energy and simple structure.To show the accuracy of results, the proposed structure is experimentally tested with a PV cell and the obtained results confirm its superior features.

Abstract: 

In this paper, a waveguide polarizer switch is designed, fabricated and tested with linear and circular polarization ability. Input and output of this structure are WR112 and square waveguide, respectively. This switch is high power and the operating frequency is X band. This structure is composed of several waveguide pieces that they rotate rather than together by an electrical motor. A septum polarizer is designed and fabricated for operation accuracy of the switch. In this work, relations of the switch are extracted. The structure is simulated by CST software and the simulation results are compared with measured results. There is good agreement between the simulation and measurement results. Also, the switch has small size.

Abstract: 

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a new technology which is used in many applications. Security and privacy are two concerns of RFID technology. To address these concerns, many protocols have been proposed, which each of them has advantages and disadvantages. In this paper after introducing three lightweight matrixes based RFID authentication protocols, the feasibility of some attacks such as de-synchronization attack, reader impersonation attack and tag traceability attack against these protocols have been investigated. In addition, we also have tried to address disadvantages of theses protocols by proposing an improved authentication protocol.In an improved protocol we exploit two lightweight pseudorandom number generators (AKARI-1 and AKARI-2) with maximum 128 bit and 64 bit. Hence, proposed protocol is still conforming to EPC Class-1 Gen-2 standard and can provide its requirements.

Abstract: 

This paper presents a new wideband, low-loss and sharp rejection Band pass filter which is implemented by using broadside coupled lines and stepped-impedance open circuit stubs. It is demonstrated that using stepped impedance open stub, controllable transmission zeroes are attainable. Transmission line model for proposed structure is introduced and detailed analysis is investigated. The goals of broad pass band and sharp rejection are achieved by choosing the impedances of transmission lines properly. Designed filter operates in 2-6 GHz with low insertion loss (less than 1dB) and high rejection in out of frequency band. The theoretically predicted performance is in good agreement with experimental results.

Abstract: 

Two ultra-wideband small blade shape antenna are presented and compared. First structure is composed with a blade radiator with a lossy element on the feed point. The second structure has composed with a monopole with a mean derline load. This antenna has three lumped RLC elements that optimized for higher gain and return loss. The antenna is shaped like a very thin blade monopole and is constructed with an one-sided printed board. The dimension of both antennas is 22 × 76 cm (0.076 l × 0.022 l × 0.00015 l of lowest frequency) with a 25 x 50 cm ground plane. It is showed that the characteristics of second antenna are too better than first one, especially in lower frequencies. The advantage of second antenna is the higher gain and removing the gain notches in line of sight despite of small size and a good matching in 30 – 500 MHz frequency band.

Abstract: 

This paper examines the effects of operating point and device size on the high frequency noise parameters in CMOS technology, to eliminate high power dissipation challenge in simultaneous noise and input matching (SNIM) technique. Modified technique is applied to improve power dissipation problem, noise performance, gain and input/output matching of the LNA at center frequency of 5.2 GHz. The LNA is implemented in TSMC 0.18-µm CMOS process. Post-layout simulation results demonstrate LNA has reached to power consumption of 2.1 mW under 1.4 V supply while having, 2.71 dB noise figure, 1GHz Band-width, 16.38 dB power gain, -40.42 dB reverse isolation factor, -21.5 dB and -23.59 dB input/output return loss respectively.

Abstract: 

In this paper, an acoustic data communication system has been implemented in order to establish a data link between two distinct water stations through the water pipes.For this purpose, channel characterization is necessary. Hence, Channel estimation has been done by Chirp probe signal. Then, suitable frequency band is selected through the channel frequency response.Also, the best framing has been achieved by the assistance of the channel impulse response. In this paper, we have utilized robust modulation techniques in water environment such as Q-PSK, CP-FSK and CP-CSK. In Q-PSK case, linear equalizer has been used to compensate channel effects. In practical experiments, the frequency band and the symbol rate have been considered to be 16.8 – 31.2 KHz and 8303 symbols per second. Acoustic projector and hydrophone have been used to transmit and receive signal over the water-pipe channel. The generation of the transmission signal and the processing of the received signal are handled by MATLAB software. Practical results have been shown that in this setup with two variant Debi, the purpose of data transmission over a water pipeline is feasible.

Abstract: 

This paper presents a new method based on a combination of features and classifiers for font. Features are extracted and combined from textures of 128×128 pixels size. For feature extraction, Sobel-Roberts Features, Gabor Filter and different Wavelet transform same as Daubechies and Haar are employed. Extracted features combined together in a pairwise manner. Three MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron) used for classification, the MLPs run on different features. Then their output combined together by employing PSO (Position swarm optimization) algorithm for finding optimum weights. Experimental results have also verified this hypothesis. The proposed algorithm is examined on the Hoda dataset of 21000 samples prepared from 10 different Farsi fonts. The characteristics of the fonts are properly extracted in the method adopted by this research, achieved 97.45% accuracy in recognition rates so it has outperformed previous contributions and higher recognition rates.
