Abstract:

The kutum (Rutilus frissi kutum) of the most economic species of fish which should artificially breed to improves the stock of it. One of the critical points of its culture is finding the best and cheap diet for this species. The aim of this study is to study the comparison between the growth performance and survival rate of fish which fed Eisenia fotidae and concentrate diet. The experiment was designed in a semi intensive system with stable physicochemical parameters.180 fish with initial average weight 1.75 g and 6.20 cm length were stocked in 12 tanks and fed with different levels of Eisenia foetidae (0.25%, 50% and 75%) during 60 days. The BWI%, SGR, FCR, CF, ADG and survival rate were estimated. The results showed the best growth and nutrition performance and observed in treatments which fed Eisnenia foetidae, all of which fed Eisena foetidae, but with increasing the percentage of Eisena foetidae, all of the parameters were decreased. In conclusion, usage of Eisena foetidae had not benefited the effects on growth performance of kutum and this ingredient should be used in lower levels in diet of kutum juveniles.

Abstract:

The main objective of this paper is the estimation of market power of the farmed rainbow trout in Iran. For this purpose we do the analysis of the statistical information relating to the marketing margin and the amount of the Rainbow trout Pool, the distribution on the market and also the transport and packaging costs Rainbow trout. The period of this paper is between 1986 to 2014. The way of investigating in this paper is the nonlinear least square. After confirming the normality and the absence of serial autocorrelation in the residuals, to resolve the problems of heteroskedasticity of regression was used to estimate appropriate weight. finally, after estimating model with appropriate weight and estimating marketing margin function, elasticity and expected changing at the retail level and in pools are calculated. The F and Durbin-Watson statistics and the coefficient of determination also represent the appropriateness of the estimated regression model. Results can be expressed as: The effect of transport costs and the production of trout (which will be available in the market) are negative and significant on the marketing margin. Rainbow trout production (in the pool) and a significant positive effect on marketing margin. As well as the effect of packaging on the cost of marketing margin is statistically valid. The amount of market power obtained for the trout ponds and the same product at retail are small although the amount of market power obtained for the trout ponds is far less than the strength in retail sales.

Abstract:

A study conducted to evaluate the effect of salinity on growth and survival rate of Nile tilapia fry by using sea salt to make six salinity levels (0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 ppt) with three replicates. Fry kept in 18 plastic containers (8 litter capacity) and had the central aeriation. Fry fed on rainbow trout food five times per day during the light period. Results showed that some growth indices such as average of final body weight, daily growth rate, specific growth rate and survival rate increased by increasing salinity levels up to 8 ppt significantly, and then decreased by increasing salinity levels up to 20 ppt. according to the experiment, it seems that larviculture of Nile tilapia in brackish water is available and the best results achives at 8 ppt. considering the results of growth and survival rate at 16 ppt showed that Salinity up to 16 ppt was tolerable, although reduced the growth and survival of Nile tilapia fry.

Abstract:

The aim of this research was to survey on the effects of different dietary levels of Acidi fire Biotronic S.A. fort ® on growth performance, survival rate and body composition of Babus schwanen feldi. So 4 treatments with 0, 2, 4 & 6 g/kg Acidi fire in feed were designed in triplicates with 10 fish Barbs juveniles with initial average weight 2.7+0.03 g were fed with experimental fed during 60 days. As the result showed the less BWI was observed in 4th treatment and the most one was observed in control. The most and less length invrease were seen in 2nd & 6th treatments respectively. The most Ash content and less one were observed in 4th and control treatments respectively. The most moisture content and less one were observed in 6th and 2nd treatments respectively. In conclusion, control treatment was the best one.

Abstract:

In this study effect of dietary burdock root powder on some growth indices and proximat composition of fray rainbow trouts were evaluated. The root powder with the values of 0, 1, 3, 5 and 7% (w/w) was added to the basal diet of fish (initial average weight of 45 ± 2.8g) during of 45 days of the culturing period. Physicochemical parameters of the water were recorded weekly during the experiment. Biometry was performed once every 15 days and growth parameters including condition factor (CF), survival rate (SR), daily growth rate (DGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), specific growth rate (SGR) and weight gain percent (WG) were calculated. The results showed that weight and length gain of the fish groups fed with burdock root powder were higher than control group (p<0.05). Maximum fish weight (168.0 ± 25.45 g) were obtained in the 5% group compared to other treatments (p<0.05). In the treatment of 5% highest DGR value was recorded (2.74 ± 0.08) in comparison to the control group (8.98 ± 0.04) (p<0.05). The mortality rate in the treatments fed with burdock root powder was higher than control group (p<0.05). FCR value showed no significant difference between 5% and 7% treatment (p>0.05). The WG in 5% (274.5 ± 3.2%) was higher than the control (198.6 ± 4.2%) (p<0.05). The highest and lowest level of SGR was calculated in 5% treatment (2.8 ± 0.05%) and 7% treatment (2.4 ± 0.02%), respectively (p<0.05). The highest amount of protein and fat was reached in 5% treatment (22.3 ± 0.6%) and control (6.65 ± 0.23%), respectively (p<0.05). All in all, adding 5% of draied burdock root powder in rainbow trout diet can be used in the feed factory to increase some growth factors of the fish.

Abstract:

In order to examine and determine the best and the most effective diet for Artemia, Artemia Franciscana was fed under laboratory conditions using three sources of diet: T1: rice bran concentrate enriched with yeast, T2: Nannochloropsis oculata, T3: the combination of rice bran concentrate enriched with yeast and Nannochloropsis oculata in three treatments and three replications for 14 days. The results of the three treatments were compared. At the end of the period, in the third treatment by removing 1962 grams of Artemia biomass and survival rates of 85.71%, the best condition was observed. There was significant difference between treatments one and two, with the biomass of 1778 g and 1621 g, and survival rates of 78.18% and 71.82%, respectively and treatment three dietary by the combination of rice bran concentrate enriched with yeast and Nannochloropsis algae. According to the results obtained it can be proved that the diet resulted from agricultural waste coupled with adequate amounts of from single-cell algae and yeast will suffice to increase production of Artemia biomass and reduce costs associated with building diets for rearing Artemia and its use for aquaculture, and there is no need for costly mass production of single cell algae.
