quality of most people. This study evaluated the effectiveness of stress management training programs on increasing quality of life in two- dimensions (social communications, environment perception) for working women. Method: The population in this study was all women employees of Hamkaran system company in Tehran, 1390. For this purpose, 30 women working in this company were randomly selected and divided into control and experimental groups. The World Health Organization Short Quality of Life Scale as the pre-test was conducted for two groups, before the intervention. The stress management training program was trained for experimental group during 10 sessions. The World Health Organization Short Quality of Life Scale was run as the post-test after the intervention program, and as follow-up after 45 days for two groups. To describe the data, mean and standard deviation were calculated. The statistical method of the average test for scores differential was used to analyze the data. Results: Results showed that stress management skills training programs significantly increased the quality of life and two-dimensions (social com- munications, environment perception) of women employed in the experi- mental group (P<0.01). These findings suggest the effectiveness of stress management training on quality of life of working women. Conclusion: Based on the results, successful skillful in problem solving and stress management are better in quality of life and social communications or environment perception.

Abstract:

In this article we studied relationship between physical and mental factors on the quality of life in patients with coronary vascular disease. This study is an analytic simulation based on Fuzzy linear regression. Statistical population was all the patients who were admitted/monitored and controlled in Dr. Shariati Hospital for vascular coronary deficiencies. The method of data collection was survey by questionnaire. The two subgroups of experimental and control group were allocated through random sampling. As for the number of samples, we obeyed similar previous studies in this field, the samples number was determined by the formula of sampling frame on the Quasi-experimental studies in Althman Normogram scale. In order to perform analytical linear Fuzzy regression in the research to study the effective factors on the quality of life (life style) among coronary vascular patients, the independent variables were: age, mass body index, blood fat index, blood pressure, and the level of stress. The dependent variable was (patients life style). The results of the data analysis by fuzzy linear regression indicated that the impact of body mass index, blood fat, blood pressure, as well as the anxiety level of the patient had  decreasing effects on the coronary arterial patients life style.

Abstract:

Prevalence of depression and lower quality of life in diabetic patients is higher than in general population. Diabetes effects on quality of life of patients and increases depression. The aim of this study therefore was to compare depression and quality of life in diabetic and non-diabetic patients. In this cross-sectional study, 100 patients who referred to diabetes research center, Tabriz and 100 non-diabetic subjects were selected by available sampling method. Samples were assessed by Beck Depression Test and Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL- 26). Data were analyzed by independent t tests in SPSS 16. The results showed that there were significant differences between women and men regarding diabetes, variability depression and quality of life, Also there were significant differences between diabetic and non diabetic patients in variables of depression and quality of life. Diabetes patients have depression and poor quality of life, thus preventing these factors can be useful for the patients.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was comparing loneliness, hopelessness, self-esteem and social skills in thalassemia and healthy adolescents. A hundred adolescents with thalassemia and 100 healthy adolescents participated in this study. Thalassemia adolescents were selected by convenience sampling from the Center of Special Diseases, Zafar Adult Thalassemia Center and Thalassemia Clinic in Mofid Hospital, Tehran. Healthy adolescents were selected by clustering random sampling from middle and high schools, Tehran. Two groups were matched in age, sex, educational level and family incomes. The instruments used in this study were the sample selection and demographic data sheets, Beck hopelessness scale, loneliness scale, CopperSmith self-esteem questionnaire and Matson social skills questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi square, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation in SPSS 14. Findings indicated that statistical significant differences existed between mean scores of hopelessness (p=0.047), social skill (p=0.038), and self-esteem (p=0.033) in thalassemia and healthy adolescents, But there were not significant differences between loneliness in thalassemia and healthy adolescents (p=0.387). The results from this study showed that psychosocial problems were common among thalassemia adolescents. It seemed identifying promising resources, promoting mental health and social skills training were necessary for thalassemia adolescents.

Abstract:

One of the concepts in the field of human health which attracts widespread attention is the concept of social health. In general discussion of social health, not only human beings, but also their immediate surroundings are influential. Social support is an important factor which acts as a mediator variable between stress and mental illness improves people endurance and tolerance rate against problems leading to more self – reliance toward active attendance in society. The present study investigated the effects of social support on social health. This study was a survey and its statistical population included the young women aging 15 to 24 in Isfahan. The sample was aslarge as 200 using the Cochrane's formula. The sampling method was classification corresponding to individual distribution in the city. The tool used in this survey was a questionnaire of two sections. To investigate the social support, a questionnaire by Hossein zadeh (2006) was used, and to study job satisfaction, another questionnaire by Bahmani (2009) whose validity was confirmed by the university masters. Finally, to study the dependent variable, Kenz's social health questionnaire has been used. the findings in this research showed that the young females having higher social support rate to some extent had higher social health, and vice versa. The same relation also existed between three – fold components of social support (tool support, sensitive, informative) and social health.

Abstract:

This research was intended to investigate the relationship between spiritual intelligence, social intelligence and death anxiety in Ahwaz metropolitan senile community. The sample randomly embraced 200 elders who were selected via multi-stage random sampling procedure. Spiritual Intelligence Scale (ISIS), Tromso Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) and Collet-Lester Fear of Death Scale (CL-FODS) were responded by the subjects as data resources. As the research was designed as descriptive-correlation study, Pearson product-moment Correlation and Multivariable Regression Analysis were implemented as main statistical methods. Results indicated that there was significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and death anxiety, but social intelligence and death anxiety were not significantly correlated. Multivariable Regression Analysis output also revealed that spiritual intelligence significantly predicated death anxiety while social intelligence had no significant role in predicting death anxiety. Promoting spiritual intelligence during different development stages could be taken into account based on spiritual intelligence contribution in decrementing death anxiety.
