Strategy is a comprehensive plan of a firm which determines its directions and provides guidelines for allocating resources to achieve its long term goals.

Tourism is now a rapidly growing phenomenon. It is considered one of the factors influencing the development of regions and a supplier of direct and indirect benefits to the hosts. Such an approach, however, causes fears about environmental degradation. Indeed, environment and tourism are related to each other because many of the environmental features attract tourists. This study investigates coastal tourism, the dominant type of tourism in the provinces bordering the sea in Iran, and the environmental behaviors of the coastal tourists. To this end, 267 questionnaires were distributed among coastal tourists in Bushehr city. Research results showed that the relationships between the variables of environmental behaviors, gender, education, marital status, type of residence, type of travel, environmental attitudes, environmental values, environmental knowledge, and length of staying were not significant. However, the results indicated that there was a positive correlation between the environmental behaviors of tourists, environmental concern, and opportunities. Finally, multiple regression analysis indicated that opportunities was the variable which had the main role in the research model.

In order to understand the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization programs and processes, correct and successful application of performance measurement is considered a necessity. Considering the inefficiency of financial criteria to measure performance, BSC approach has received a warm welcome.

Geomorphosites are new concepts with scientific, ecological, cultural, aesthetic and economic values that deal with the identification of special tourist places. This paper evaluates the tourism potentials of some of the geomorphosites of Hormozgan Province by comparing the two geomorphotourist methods of Pereira and Pralong. Tourism, particularly cultural tourism opens the door to knowledge, development, and sustainability of society. With the hypothesis that museums can develop tourism, especially cultural tourism in destinations, this study aimed to examine the effect of musumes on cultural tourism in eastern Mazandaran using survey methods. The Sample size was estimated 380 respondents based on the Morgan chart and SPSS software was used to analysis the data. The results showed that Kolbady Musume in Sari and Gohar Tapeh Museum in Behshahr have potentially significant roles in attracting tourists and introducing the history and culture of eastern Mazandaran. This could provide a suitable ground for developing cultural tourism in the region depending on planning and management on the part of relevant institiutions, particularly the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.

Tourism education in developing countries including Iran is faced with challenges. The purpose of this research is determining the strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities of tourism education in Iranian university system using SWOT analysis system. To this end, internal evalution process and survey research methods were used. The required data were collected through field survey and a questionnaire completed by 150 respondents including tourism investors, activist, faculty members, and students of tourism The analysis of strengths and weaknesses matrix shows that educational dimensions had top priorities in actions and threats. The study proposes a sterategy based on as much communication as possible between university educational system on the one hand, and managers and other people involved in the tourism industry on the other. The final section of this paper makes some recommendations for the development of tourism education in Iran.

The holy city of Mashhad, a city with a religious function - particularly pilgrimage has provided a suitable ground for religious tourism as one of the major forms of tourism. This, in turn, has provided potentials for cultural as well as urban economic dynamism. Costs of tourists, is one of the topics addressed in the economic process of tourism. In general, costs of a tourist include the cost of food, recreation, transport, accommodation, sightseeing, services, communication, etc. According to some case studies, normally more than 60 percent of the tourists’ costs are spent on accommodation. This study tries to find an answer to the question on, which of the above mentioned itemes do religious tourists in the city of Mashhad spend most. Base on the cross - application of attribution style methodology, field measurement and stay model, the required data were collected and analyzed. The results of the study indicated that most tourists in the city of Mashhad spent most on shopping While pervious studies indicate that more than 60 percent of the costs of tourists were spent on accommodation, this study indicates that the minimum cost was spent on accommodation. High costs of accommodation units, existence of veriety in the units, development of illegal acommodation units, and the annual income of the tourists are some possible reasons that could explain the behavior of the pilgrims.
