Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of physical education teachers with 720-degree feedback. The population consisted of principals, teachers of physical education and other courses, sports authorities in area 7 in Department of Education, managers and experts in Sport and Youth office of northeast Tehran, students of 15 high schools for girls in area 7 of Tehran and their parents (N=6371).769 subjects were selected as the sample by census, purposive, simple random and cluster random sampling methods. To achieve aims of this study, Physical Education Teacher Performance Evaluation Questionnaire by Keshavarz et al. (2013) was used. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistical methods such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov, one-sample t test, two Hotelling T2 test and LSD post hoc test with SPSS software were used. Results showed a significant difference between the first and second stages of performance (P˂0.05). It is necessary for physical education authorities of Ministry of Education to use new models of performance evaluation which have the facility for evaluating PE teachers' performance from different perspectives so that the level of these teachers and the productivity of the sports and physical education classes can be improved.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to compare coaches' knowledge management and service quality from viewpoints of customers of state and private indoor swimming pools of Isfahan city. The research method was descriptive survey.Sample included 308 customers who were selected randomly and divided into two groups: state and private swimming pools. Service Quality Questionnaire (SERVQUAL) and a researcher-made Questionnaire of Knowledge Management of Coaches were used. SERVQUAL consisted of five items: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. To determine the validity of Knowledge Management Questionnaire, content and face validity were used and it was obtained 0.71. The Cronbach alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability (a=0.86). The results showed that the mean score of customers' viewpoints on service quality was higher in private swimming pools than the state swimming pools. The results also showed that private pools significantly acted better in tangibles, assurance and responsiveness than state pools. However, there were no significant differences in reliability and empathy between the performances of the two types of swimming pools.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to compare perceived enjoyment of leisure time physical activity (LTPA) in different socioeconomic classes of the youth in Tehran city. The statistical population consisted of the youth aged between 15 and 24 in Tehran city. Sample consisted of 384 subjects based on Cochran's sample size formula and combinatorial sampling method. For data collection, Perceived Enjoyment of Leisure Time Physical Activity Questionnaire of Kendzierski and Carlo (1991) and Socioeconomic Status (SES) Questionnaire were used. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics (Leven, ANOVA, and Tukey tests) were used in SPSS software. Results showed a significant difference in perceived enjoyments of LTPA in subjects' different economic classes of family and also in perceived enjoyments of LTPA in subjects with different educational level s. According to the results, it seemed that those with better economic status could participate in more sport classes, spend more time on physical activities and enjoy more.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of quality of work life and organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior of employees of Sport and Youth general office and offices of Ilam province. Walton (1973) Quality of Work Life Questionnaire, Kim and Lung (2007) Organizational Justice Questionnaire, and Mackenzie et al. (1993) Organizational Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire were used. Statistical population of the study consisted of the employees of Sport and Youth general office and offices of Ilam province.103 subjects were selected as the statistical sample. According to the results, reliability and diagnostic validity of the instruments were acceptable. To identify the effects of research variables, Structural Equation Modeling was used by Smart PLS software. The Findings showed that quality of work life had a significant and positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior, but the effect of organizational justice on organizational citizenship behavior was not significant. Also, results showed that these two variables explained %19 of variation of organizational citizenship behavior. According to the results, it is suggested that organizations encourage and educate the employees in order to growth and improve citizenship behaviors and to develop necessary skills in this area by an improvement in quality of work life programs.

Abstract: 

New thoughts of management rely on effectiveness and introduce servant leadership as an asset. This study analyzed the relationship between servant leadership and effectiveness in Islamic Republic of Iran National Paralympic Committee.The research method was descriptive where the relationships were analyzed based on structural equation modeling. Statistical population included all beneficiaries of IRI National Paralympic Committee (board of directors and personnel of this committee, Federation for the Disabled and Federation for the Blind) in 2015 and cultural sport team dispatched to Paralympic Games of 2012 London. Statistical sample equaled the statistical population. Validity and reliability of Peterson (2003) Servant Leadership Questionnaire and the researcher-made Organizational Effectiveness Questionnaire were confirmed.230 questionnaires were distributed and finally 207 questionnaires were analyzed. The results showed that the parameter values related to (t) implied that all relationships were significant assumptions. In the study model, all variables had path coefficients>0.4 which showed the considerable effect of servant leadership dimensions on organizational effectiveness. The results showed a strong relationship between servant leadership and organization effectiveness.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was the relationship of coaches' power sources with persuasion space, commitment and sport success in adolescent boxers of Iran.The research method was descriptive - survey. The statistical population included all boxers attending Iran Adolescent Boxing Championship in 2015 (N=296). The statistical sample was equal to population. Standard Questionnaire of Power Sources by Sussman and Deep (1989), Questionnaire of Perception of Success by Roberts and Thresher (1998), Sport Commitment Scale by Scanlan et al. (1993) and Questionnaire of Motivational Climate by Seifriz et al. (1992) were used. Validity was approved by 10 experts and reliability was confirmed with Cronbach's alpha as 0.72, 0.92, 0.93 and 0.86 respectively. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and inferential statistics (k-s, Friedman analysis, Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple regression) were used. Results showed that ' expertise' had the highest mean rank (3.62) among power sources. Also, there was a significant and negative relationship between ' coercion' and ' expertise' and sport success and commitment (P≤0.05). There was a significant relationship between dimensions of persuasion space and success and commitment (P≤0.05). It is suggested that coaches should utilize expertise more than other power sources in order to increase success and commitment of adolescent boxers in an appropriate persuasion space.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to investigate Sabzevar students' perception of volunteering effects in sport and other events. The study was a descriptive survey conducted as a field.400 subjects were selected as the sample. Data were collected by Miller (2013) Questionnaire, which was modified and some items were added. Face, content and construct validity of this questionnaire was confirmed. Cranach's alpha coefficient was used to test the reliability of the questionnaire (a=0.885).For data analysis, t test, MANOVA and Tukey post hoc test were used. The results showed a significant difference in the volunteer students' perception of volunteering effects, social and physical-economic capitals in sport and other events. There were no significant differences in cultural and human capitals. There were no significant differences in the sex of the subjects in human, social, physical-economic, and cultural capitals. There was a significant difference in the age of the subjects in sport events group in physical-economic and cultural capitals and there was a significant difference in other events in physical-economic capital. Sport voluntary activities had greater effects than none-sport voluntary activities which could be due to the nature of sport. The authorities and planners need to create opportunities for voluntary activities in order to attract the satisfaction of volunteers of all ages and sexes.
