Abstract:

In the recent years, we observe various scientific conferences that held by Universities, Institutes and also by some companies. The main aim of all of these conferences is providing a scientific network between researchers with famous companies and the process of knowledge exchange (1, 2). These knowledge exchanges will help the researchers and students to be at a scientific environment and this will promote their vision. Among these conferences, National and International Research Student Congresses are big opportunities for medical students to familiar with scientific meetings (2). By participating at a conference, students can gain soft-skills that will be valuable at every level of their academic life. A medical student can participate in the meeting by various ways: only participating in the meeting and participating in the meeting and presenting him/her work. If a person has a work that is acceptable for the meeting, he/she is able to present the work as a lecture or a poster. Both of these presentation models will be full of new experience for him/her. When the student participate in the conference by a lecture, it is very appropriate to visit his/her supervisor. Surely these visits help the student for better presenting of his/her work. Students will learn that have a lecture in different place than their university or clinic and this will open a new window in their academic life. If the work will present in the conference as poster, students must prepare a visual representation of their work and present the summary of their findings clearly to other attendees. Surely in poster-making process, students learn to how they should present the data and how they should write a scientific work with details. In these scientific environments, students will connect with the scientific community. This participation can help students to familiar with the other projects that are currently in process by the other students and institutions. We always recommend our students identify their interested meetings and participate in them for increasing their first-hand knowledge As we know, our knowledge is the results of cooperative efforts and in this way conferences will allow us and our students to have a chance for exploring the known and unknown fields, other than we traditional learn in university.

Background and Objective: Dissertations are the most significant documents of the academic curriculum and have an important role in preparing and empowering students to participate in their research activities. This study was conducted to confirm the evaluation of report (thesis) writing in Environmental Health Engineering. Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 110 Environmental Health theses in Babol University of Medical Sciences from beginning up to September 2105. The data were gathered by means of citation analysis method using a tailor-made data collection sheet that consisted of 4 parts including general principles, structural principles, writing of references and dissertation content. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistical indexes. Results: Our results showed that the compliance of general criteria in projects had a growing trend during past years. Also, specific criteria from 2010 to 2014 was associated with a trend of steady growth. Compliance of specific criteria has increased from 48. 8% in 2010 to around 86% in 2015. Undefined statistical tests (54. 6%), lack of hypothesis and research questions (34. 5%) and unknown variables (30%) can be mentioned as content defects. Regarding references, 41% of the theses had some mistakes in the sequence of the references and 51. 8% with problems related in style. Totally, 63. 6% of references did not have complete information. Conclusion: Although the majority of theses have been valuable in terms of scientific content, but in structural principles, the dissertation content and the basics of writing references contained numerous errors. Obviously, monitoring can also improve the quality of academic education and research, avoiding waste of resources and achieving a satisfactory result among the students.

Of the study population, pregnant women were married less than 45 years. Results using one-way ANOVA and independent T tests were processed. Findings: The mean age of women was equal to 32/4 ± 7/6 that 62/9% of the subjects had moderate or severe PMS symptoms, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder 15/4 percent of women studied (PMDD), respectively. Considering the severity of symptoms, the most common protests "somatic symptoms 79%, " anger and irritability by 78%, "Fatigue and lack of energy by 73%, " Less interest in activities, 63% were home. Methods: This study was done by using the keywords; self-care, self-care behavior, women, reproductive, and by searching databases such as Google scholar, Science direct, PubMed and SID and from 2000 till 2016. 185 articles were obtained in English and Persian and 79 articles were used. Findings: The literature review led to the organization of effective techniques which promotes women's self-care behaviors in the three main categories. The first; lifestyle modification (improved diet, exercise, smoking alcohol cessation and increasing the knowledge of Health), second; prevention and screening behaviors (women's cancer screening, avoiding from ionizing radiation, sexually transmitted infections and stress, consideration of family history of diseases and empowerment in the face of violence) and the third; Coping with illness and treatment compliance (self-control, positive body image, goal setting, use of complementary and alternative medicine).
