Abstract

 Background and Objective: Premenstrual Syndrome as a periodic event, a combination of physical disorders, neurological and psychiatric As a result, social adjustment, interpersonal relationships and normal activities difficult person and have a negative impact on quality of life Lays. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of signs and symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome in women is married Kerman. Methods: A descriptive study of 240 Married women referred to health centers in Kerman, a questionnaire including demographic data (number of children, occupation, education, number of children) and Premenstrual Syndrome were completed. Of the study population, pregnant women were married less than 45 years. Results using one-way ANOVA and independent T tests were processed. Findings: The mean age of women was equal to 32/4 ± 7/6 that 62/9% of the subjects had moderate or severe PMS symptoms, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder 15/4 percent of women studied (PMDD), respectively. Considering the severity of symptoms, the most common protests "somatic symptoms 79%, " anger and irritability by 78%, "Fatigue and lack of energy by 73%, " Less interest in activities, 63% were home. The impact of symptoms on family responsibilities with a frequency of 60% in the most severely affected had symptoms. Conclusion: Due to the widespread prevalence of symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome, the large outbreak of premenstrual symptoms as the lack of a national assessment tools and the impact of signs on life and social relationships is undeniable. Thus, there is a need for more studies to be done on understanding the symptoms and implementing training stssions.
