Introdution: Based on researches, increased levels of vascular endothelial growth factor and antioxidant parameters in areas of the brain that are more affected by Parkinson's disease have a potential therapeutic effect. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the effect of 6 weeks continuous and interval aerobic exercises on vascular endothelial growth factor and superoxide dismutase enzyme; Parkinson's rats. Methods: In this experimental study, 24 male Wistar male rats (12 weeks) with an average weight of 250 to 350 grams were used. Subjects were treated with reserpine to Parkinson's, then divided into 6 groups. Aerobic exercises were performed for 6 weeks. After 48 hours of the last training session, the rats were killed, then the tissue of the hippocampus was separated from other parts of the brain, and vascular endothelial growth factor and superoxide dismutase enzyme were measured using specific kits. The results were analyzed using one way analysis of variance analysis and Bonferroni post hoc test. Results: The results of this study showed that 6 weeks of continuous and interval aerobic exercise increased vascular endothelial growth factor levels in Parkinson's rats (p = 0. 01). There was no significant difference between the two groups of interval exercises compared to the continuous training group (p = 0. 87). Also, these exercises did not significantly affect the superoxide dismutase enzymes (p = 0. 47). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it has been shown that 6 weeks of continuous and periodic aerobic exercise increases the vascular endothelial growth factor, but these exercises have not significantly changed the superoxide dismutase enzyme.

Introdution: Muscle weakness that is caused by cancer called Cachexia. One of the causes of the formation of the cachexia is the change in protein degradation, and the ubiquitous protease and Autophagy Lysosomes system is the most important protein breakdown system. Resistance training has been one the best stimulator of increasing muscular mass. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a period of resistance training on the muscle protease activity and autophagy flux in mice with cancer induce cachexia. Methods: This study was conducted on 12 male BALB / c mice (age 6 weeks) and CT-26 tumor implanted into them. Then they were divided into two groups of resistance training (n=6) and control (n=6). Training group performed 6 weeks progressive resistance training. The protease activity was evaluated by fluorogenic substrate method and LC3B and p62 evaluated by western blot method. Independent t-test was carried out at P<0. 05 for statistical analysis using Prism (7) software. Results: There was no significant difference in Proteasome activity (p=0. 13), muscle weight (p=0. 24), and CT26 tumor volume (p≥ 0. 05) between two groups of resistance training and control, but p62 decreased in the resistance training group (p=0. 032). Conclusion: However, the autophagy flux has improved in the part of cargo breakdown with resistance training, but perhaps the presence of a tumor inhibits muscle response to resistance training or this type of resistance training is not an appropriate intervention for treating cachectic muscle. To treat cachexia through the resistance training, either this method would be combined with other interventions or other methods of the resistance training can be applied.

Introdution: Ischemic heart disease is one of the most common diseases, which has led to high mortality rates all over the world. This disease is caused by narrowing or blockage of coronary arteries, which are the provider of blood to the heart. Identifying the people susceptible to this disease and bringing changes in their lifestyles has been said to reduce the related mortality rates and increase the patient's longevity. Methods: Yazd people Health Study (YaHS) was conducted on a random sample of 10, 000 people living in the city of Yazd, Iran in the years 2014-15 for a general health and disease survey. These data were first balanced by bootstrapping technique due to their unbalanced nature. Next, classification methods were used in the training phase. Various classifiers, such as artificial neural network, rule inducer, regression, and AdaBoost were used in order to evaluate the proposed method with two scenarios. Results: The results showed that the screening of the people susceptible to ischemic heart disease had the most significant effect on increasing the sensitivity of the discovery classifier of CN2 subgroup through using balanced data by bootstrapping method followed by their analysis for the purpose of producing a sample of the patients. This classifier proved to have the potential for detecting 83. 6% of the people susceptible to this disease. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that data mining methods are effective in screening for susceptible people with ischemic heart disease. This method can be compared with other traditional screening methods in that it is more cost-effective and faster.

Introdution: Diabetes is the most common endocrine disorder characterized by hyperglycemia. Increasing the oxidative stress and changing the amount of antioxidants play important roles in pathogenesis of diabetes. Nowadays to control diabetes and its complications, the use of herbal drugs is considered widely. In this study, we investigated the effect of oleuropein on antioxidant enzymes activity of heart tissue in Streptozotocin induced diabetic male rats. Methods: In this study, 30 adult male Wistar rats with a weight range of 190± 30 gr were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=10 in each group): 1) control group or intact rats, 2) diabetic rats, and 3) treatment group, which received 60 mg/kg oleuropein for 30 days by gastric gavage. Diabetes was induced by injection of streptozotocin (60 mg/kg) intraperitoneally. At the end of the treatment, serum concentrations of blood glucose and heart tissue antioxidant enzymes activity were determined. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL; Version 18, statistical method of one way variance analysis and post hoc-Duncan test. Results: The results showed that serum concentration of glucose decrease significantly in treatment group compared with the diabetic group (p=0. 000). Also, TAC, SOD and GPX activity increased significantly in the treatment group compared with the diabetic group (p=0. 000). Conclusion: This study showed that oleuropein can prevent blood glucose increasing and reinforce antioxidant system of cardiac tissue in diabetic rats.

Abstract:

Introdution: Among infectious diseases, tuberculosis is one of the leading causes of death killing in nearly 1. 5 million people yearly. Considering the importance of patient co-operation in drug therapy and resistance we decided to evaluate the rate of co-operation of tuberculosis infected patients in regard to their use of antituberculosis drugs in Kerman. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted as a sectional and census study and 80 patients succeeded to finalize it. Demographic information was collected through a questionnaire by patients. To carry out the designed test, a urinary sample was taken from each patient and a few drops of each were added to the drugspecific reagents. On the basis of color variation which is special for rifampin, isoniazid and pyrazinamide, we made a decision on the co-operation of the patients. The collected data were analyzed by the the use of SPSS software version 18 and p-value<0. 05 was acceptable. To find out the relation between variables, the Chi-square test was applied. Results: The results of this study showed that the total co-operation rate for patients administered with isoniazid was 70%, rifampin 70%, and pirazinamide 68. 1%. The quality of adherence to drug orders with age, knowledge of unwanted adverse effects, opium addiction and duration of drug use had a significant relationship (P <0. 05); but with gender, duration of illness, use of another drug, and the presence of another TB infected in the family, no significant difference was observed. Conclusion: We resulted those factors such as age, addiction and lifestyle, duration of treatment and awareness of side effects influence on the co-operation of the patients on drug usage. So that people over 35 years, addict ones, treated for a long time and in the patients with lack of awareness of drug side effects, their adherence to the treatment regimen was lower.
