Abstract:

peptides have shown Promising effect as pharmaceutics with the potential to treat a wide variety of diseases. Peptides are mostly synthesized by biological technology or chemical methods. Solution phasepeptide synthesis (SPS) and solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) are two major chemical techniques for peptidesproduction. In this research, the synthesis of dipeptde (b -alanine- L -histidine) wasexaminedby the both SPS and SPPS methods. The solution phase synthesizeswasdonebyN -phthalic anhydride as a protective group andthe solid phase using standardtert-Butyloxycarbonyl (BOC) and Fluorenylmethyloxycarbonylchloride (Fmoc).Inthe both methods, themicrowave was assisted in different steps. The molecular structure of the dipeptide (b -alanine- L -histidine) wasdefined using different spectrometrymethods such as: UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1HNMR and LC-Massanalysis.

Abstract:

a-Fe2O3 (hematite) nanoparticles were synthesized using tragacanth gel as biotemplate and iron chloride as the iron source by the sol-gel method. This method has many advantages such as nontoxic, economic viability, ease to scale up, less time consuming and environmental friendly approach for the synthesis of a -Fe2O3 nanoparticles without using any organic chemicals. Nanoparticles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, UV-visible spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed the formation of Rhombohedral phase a-Fe2O3 with average particle size of 21 nm.

Abstract:

In this investigation, the structural, electronic properties, 13C and 1H NMR parameters and first hyperpolarizability of Z-Ligustilide were explored. As well, the solvent effect on structural parameters, frontier orbital energies, electronic transitions, and 13C and 1H NMR parameters was illustrated based on Polarizable Continuum Model (PCM).These consequences specify that the polarity of solvents participates on the structures and spectroscopic properties of Z-Ligustilide. NBO analysis was used to examining of the hybridation of atoms, atomic charges and their second order stabilization energy within the molecule.

Abstract:

An efficient sodium bismuthate (NaBiO3) synthesis of biologically active spiro [4 H -pyran] derivatives has been accomplished via one-pot three-condensationof isatin/acenaphthequinone, malononitrile and different reagents including 1, 3-dicrbonyl compounds, a-naphthol and 4-hydroxycumarinunder solvent-free conditions. The notable advantages of the present procedure are: eco-friendly, environmentally benign nature, low-cost and non-toxic catalyst, simplicity of operation with no necessity of chromatographic purification steps, short reaction times, good to high yields and solvent-free conditions.

Abstract:

Metal-Organic Framework (MOFs) are new crystalline materials which because of having properties such as high porosity, optical and electrical properties, etc., have been considered in areas such as gas storage, catalysis, pollutants removal and so on. Therefore, in order to develop these compounds and their use in this study, in this work, Zn-HKUST-1 metal-organic framework was synthesized by fast and also environmentally friendly physical mixing (grinding by hand) method. To identify products spectroscopy methods such as FT-IR and PXRD were employed. The sensing ability of this framework to detect explosive-like nitroaromatic analyets such as nitrobenzene, 1, 3-dinitrobenzene and TNT was tested. The results showed that the sensitivity of Zn-HKUST-1 to TNT is more than two other analytes and this metal-organic framework can be effective in detecting explosives such as TNT. Also ultrasound assisted synthesis (sonochemical) of this framework and effect of initial reagents concentration and power generating ultrasonic apparatus on the size and shape of the products were investigated.

Abstract:

The catalytic effect of Zirconia Sulfuric Acid (ZrSA) nanoparticle which is synthesized from the reaction of ZrO2 with chlorosulfonic acid has been investigated in the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo [a] xanthene-11-ones by one-pot three-component reaction of b -naphthol, aromatic aldehydes, and dimedone. Different reaction conditions were studied in the presence of ZrSA nanoparticle as catalyst. The results showed that ZrSA exhibited high catalytic activity towards the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo [a] xanthene-11-ones, with the desired products being formed in high yields. Furthermore, the catalyst was recyclable and could be reused at least three times without any discernible loss in its catalytic activity. Overall, this new catalytic method for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo [a] xanthene-11-ones provides rapid access to the desired compounds under solvent-free conditions at 110oC following a simple work‐up procedure, and avoids the use of harmful organic solvents. This method therefore represents a significant improvement over the methods currently available for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo [a] xanthene-11-ones.

Abstract:

Reaction of a nucleobase with nitrosonium ion leads to its diazotization. Due to the instability, the nucleobase-diazonium assumingly falls in dediazotization and successive ring opening reactions. The resulting intermediate of the ring opening reaction is able to covalently cross-link the opposite strands of DNA. To examine this assumption for cytosine, some 4-amino-5-cyano pyrimidines were synthesized via [3+3] condensation of amidines with ethoxymethylenemalonitrile and successively converted to the corresponding 4-amino-5-carboxyamido derivatives. These compounds were then exposed to nitrosonium ion under different conditions. Results of this study indicate that the diazonium of a 4-aminopyrimidine prefers deamination over the dediazotization. Therefore, the dediazotization and its successive ring-opening reactions of the pyrimidine cation would happen under some exceptional conditions which deserve to be explored in more detailed studies. In view of the cytosine chemistry and cytotoxicity of NO, the results are presented and discussed.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of inhibition ofMarrubium astranicum leaves extract on the corrosion of carbon steel in hydrochloric acid solution by using weight loss and tafel polarization methods. Inhibition was found to increase with increasing concentration of the leaves extract. The inhibition efficiency of this extract at an optimum concentration of 100 mg L-1 was 99.9 %. The effect of inhibitor concentration, immersion time and temperature on the corrosion behavior of carbon steel in 1 M HCl was also studied. The inhibition was assumed to occur via adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the metal surface. The adsorption of the extract on the carbon steel surface obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The results obtained show that the leave extract of plant could serve as an effective green inhibitor of the corrosion of carbon steel in hydrochloric acid.
