Background & Objectives: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a tumorigenic herpes virus and belong to DNA viruses that infects and persists in B lymphocytes with in the majority of humans and is also associated with some of cases of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). The aim of the present study was to investigate the presence of Epstein-Barr virus in Hodgkin's lymphoma in children.Materials & Methods: In this study, 16 formalin-fixed paraffin embedded blocks of Hodgkin's lymphoma tissue samples collected from the archive of pathology departments. The presence of RNA transcripts encoded by the virus were examined by EBERs in situ hybridization (EBERs-ISH).Results: From investigated sixteen formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples of Hodgkin's disease (HD) by EBERs in situ hybridization, 12 samples were from male (75%) and 4 samples were from female (25%). Age range of patients was 4 -12 years (with a median of 8 years). In 12 specimens (75%) Epstein-Barr virus was present. The positive cases included 9 male samples (75%) and 3 female samples (75%). Epstein-Barr virus was present in different subtypes of Hodgkin's lymphoma.80% of Mixed Cellularity (MC), 67% of Nodular Sclerosis (NS) and 100% of Lymphocyte Predominance (LP) subtypes were positive. The presence of Epstein-Barr virus in the age groups of 4-7 and 8-12 years were 71.5% and 77.8%, respectively. Conclusion: Results show strong association between Epstein-Barr virus and Hodgkin lymphoma in children. Epstein-Barr virus and Hodgkin lymphoma association in Iranian children show similar pattern with other developing countries.

Introduction: The role of plants in reducing blood fats and thus reduction the risk of heart-coronary disease is known. The main aim of this study is effect of oats and barley extract on blood factors and atherosclerosis in adult rats. Methods: In this study, 50 female Wistar rats weighing approximately 300±20 gram were purchased from Animal House of Jahrom. Then, they are divided into 5 groups with 10 rats including control group (without any receiving any sustenance), instance group (1% weight of food is cholesterol), Experimental 1 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also barley extract with BW dosage, 125mg/kg), Experimental 2 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also oat extract with BW dosage, 125mg/kg), Experimental 3 group (daily 1% weight of food is cholesterol and also barley extract and oat extract each with BW dosage, 62.5mg/kg). Then, at the end of the experiment, the animals were bled and HDL, total cholesterol, triglycerides were studied. Results: The results show that HDL concentration in all experimental groups had significant decrease compared to the control group. Cholesterol levels in the experimental group received the extract of barley and oats simultaneously, had significant reduction compared to the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: According to above results of this study, it can be stated that barley and oat extract simultaneously cause reduction of blood fats and cholesterol, so simultaneous use of these extracts is recommended. Also, barley extract has more useful effect than oat extract in reduction of blood fats.

Introduction: In patients with dyspnea inhalers are important drugs, but method of use of these drugs are more important and if the patient do not use in right manner the effect of these drugs will not revealed. The aim of this study was evaluation the method of use of inhalers in patients with dyspnea. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study which is conducted during 2009 – 2013. The patients were selected on simple sampling manner who attended to the clinics in Jahrom (Iran) with dyspnea. The study was done in double blind manner. First step was filling a questionnaire by one the researchers. After that in second step the other researcher observed the manner of inhaler use by the patient; and recorded right or wrong manner. All the information analyzed by SPSS soft ware. Results: In this study 468 patients with dyspnea were studied.43.6% of the patients were using inhalers in correct manner. From these 204 patients (who used sprays in correct manner) 95.1% have had education about the use of inhaler. Men and old age patients were more frequent with wrong manner use age. It seems that educational level has not any role in the manner of inhaler use. Conclusion: Physicians and other persons with therapeutic duties should dedicate more time for training the patients in using the inhalers.

Introduction: Anxiety and depression enervates body's immune system and makes it prone to all diseases. Emotional intelligence is correlated with propensity to various diseases and acquiring emotional intelligence skills will boost up health recovery. The main objective in the present research is to study the effects of emotional intelligence traits on blood pressure and pulse rate inpatients with cardiovascular diseases. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental research that designed for 30womenwithcoronary artery disease admitted to Tehran Modares Hospital. The patients were randomly divided into two groups of experimental and control groups. After measuring the participants’ blood pressure and pulse rate, emotional intelligence traits were taught to experimental groups in 7 sessions each lasting 90 minutes. Then blood pressures and pulse rates were measured in both groups. Data were analyzed using T test. Results: The findings of research showed that emotional intelligence traits reduce the blood pressure rates among women with Coronary artery disease on the significance level of 0.05 (p£0.006, p£0.003). But they do not influence pulse rates in these patients on the significance level of 0.05 (p£0.978).Conclusion: Emotional intelligence traits play an significant role in reducing blood pressure rates in women with coronary artery disease. Thus, the results of this research can be used in preventive and remedial interventional programs including the development of educational programs designed for patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Introduction: Cyclophosphamide, anti-cancer drugs which are used in chemotherapy. Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Tribulus terrestris extract on sex hormones in male rats after treatment with cyclophosphamide.material and Method: In this experimental study 56 adult male rats weighing 200-220 g and aged 10-12 week were randomly divided into: control, sham and experimental groups. Experimental group 1 received 5 mg cyclophosphamide intraperitoneally and Experimental groups 2 and 3 received 20 and 40 mg Tribulus terrestris extract orally. Experimental groups 4 and 5 received cyclophosphamide and Tribulus terrestris extract. After 8 weeks Sex hormones concentrations were measured. ANOVA test was used for data analysis. Results: The results showed that serum concentrations of FSH, LH and testosterone in the cyclophosphamide group compared with the control group were decreased significantly. but the concentration of these hormones in experimental groups 2 and 3 were received Tribulus terrestris extract compared with the control group were increased. Also the serum concentrations of these hormones in groups 4 and 5 were received cyclophosphamide and Tribulus terrestris extract compared with cyclophosphamide group were increased. Conclusion: Tribulus terrestris extract causes a reduction of cyclophosphamide effects on cells are producing sex hormone. This effect is probably due to the antioxidant property of Tribulus Terrestris.
