The purpose of this research is to explain the dimensions of self-leadership on the basis of the Holy Quran’ s teachings. Thematic analysis is employed for this qualitative research. In the beginning, the content of the Holy Quran was reviewed in terms of the concepts relating to self-leadership (leadership, self-leadership, selfmanagement, self-control), and 1536 primary themes were extracted. Then, emphasizing on the common concepts, 214 primary common themes were identified as indexes by categorization and coding methods. Subsequently, through integration and re-categorization of these indices, 73 themes were classified as organizing themes, and then, by more restricted classification range, 19 themes were extracted as pervasive themes. These themes were finally classified into four main categories of prerequisites, strategies, methods, outcomes and self-management of selfleadership. In the main concept of self-leadership, five itegrative themes were identified as self-assessment, self-motivation, self-challenge, self-improvement, and self-control. In the prerequisite aspect of self-leadership, seven themes including recognition and self-communication, appreciation and communication with God, recognition of opponents and enemies, activating perceptional inputs, internal effective factors, external effective factors, and understanding of the necessity of self-leadership were explained. In the self-leadership strategies, four themes of mental, behavioral, mental-behavioral, and ethical strategies were identified. Finally, in the field of self-leadership results, three high themes of the worldly, heavenly, and worldly-heavenly results were identified and explained.
