Abstract: 

This is the first study in Iran on the behavior of investment managers and financial analysts as to market forccast and stock selection in Tehran stock exchange. Respondent are, bourse trader, investment management and financial analyst of investment company and investment consultant of Iran bank. It is important for national and international investors to acquire a better understanding of how investment professional or analysts in Iran practice their trades. The respondents were asked to rate the relative importance of a number of techniques for stock analysis. There are three major categories of techniques in the survey, namely fundamental analysis, technical analyses and portfolio analysis. Our results indicate that Iran bourse analysts rely more on fundamental and technical analyses and rely less on portfolio analysis.

Abstract: 

The current research aimed in survey of Knowledge Management (KM) infrastructures in the government of Islamic Republic of Iran including 21 ministries and Management and Planning Organization (MPO). Data gathered by questionnaire completed by managers in aforementioned organizations. Results showed: The average of scores gained by organizations is below the OECD standard.There is no significant difference between organizations in providing KM infrastructures.There is no significant correlation between the priority of KM in organizational strategy and budget allocation.There is no significant correlation between having KM plan and budget allocation.There is no significant correlation between the priority of KM in organizational strategy and knowledge centered management.There is significant relation between organizational culture and knowledge management level.There is significant relation between education level of staff members and Knowledge management level.Totally, the situation of KM infrastructure is not suitable in organizations.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, in business terms, the most important development to arise from the current swathe of technological advances is the electronic commerce. The electronic commerce is one of the most obvious interests in the digital economy. Electronic market in comparison with traditional market has an important challenge about more competition pressures and less customer's loyalty. Therefore in the electronic commerce, absorption, trust, satisfaction and retention of the customers are of vital importance. In this article, the relationships between electronic commerce, customer's satisfaction, trust and loyalty were investigated. Thus two samples, one from Iran and the other from Lebanon who have had e-shopping experience were selected. A questionnaire was designed that consists of 5 points Likert’s scale questions. After assurance about the validity and reliability of the instrument, the questionnaires were distributed among two samples of students in Iran and Lebanon via traditional and electronic manners. In total 33 questionnaires from Iran, and 32 questionnaires from Lebanon was gathered. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS software, and LISREL software. The results suggested that the interaction of the trust, loyalty, and satisfaction affects e-shopping, but intensity and the nature of the effects varies in different countries.

Abstract: 

This paper examines the determinants of business start-up, long and short-term success, and failure of small business with emphasis on their education and training. This paper is aiming in exploring, explaining the main factors are related to successful, and failure of entrepreneurs in small industrial business in Iran-Khuzestan State-Ahvaz City. From 1204 established enterprisers we selected 131 based on a Stratified Random Sampling, which enterprisers marked as successful, and failures. The data collected in terms of a triangulation method (interview, questionnaire, and site observation). The results show that: a- from the failure entrepreneurs point of view the following issues were important: weak managing technical skills, financial issues, poor planning and organization of their business, economic issues, informal intervenes and corruption, weak managing conceptual skills, personal skills, low education and training and weak human relation.from the successful entrepreneurs point of view the following issues were important: suitable managing technical skills, selecting appropriate personnel with relevant skills, education and paying more attention to the training of their employees, application of management conceptual skills, financial issues, better human relation, recognize the economic situation, right planning and organization.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study is to investigate and identify the barriers and problems related to establishing management information systems (MIS) from administrators’ point of view. on this basis, attempt has been made to propose suitable solutions to these barriers by identifying them in different stages of establishing these systems in Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex in Rafsanjan. These barriers are discussed in terms of four variables: administrators’ being unfamiliar with management information systems, lack of experts, low level of employees information and education and their resistance against changes. The relationship between these factors and the establishment of management information systems from administrators’ point of view were then examined. For this purpose, close-ended questionnaires with 5 choices were used.169 administrators of Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex were selected to serve as the sample using an stratified random sampling method. To analyze the obtained data, descriptive statistics (frequency tables, histograms bar charts) and inferential statistics (variance diagram, Spearman and tb-Kendall correlation tests) were used and the following results were obtained:1. There is no significant relationship between the administrators’ degree of MIS familiarity and the implementation of management information systems.2. There is no significant relationship between the lack of experts for operational supporting of MIS and its implementation.3. There is no significant relationship between the low level of employees’ education and information and the implementation of MIS.4. There is a significant relationship between the employees’ resistance against change and the implementation of MIS.Moreover, using the above tests, we found that there is no significant relationship between sex, career length, job seniority, age, education level, education major and the degree of administrators’ knowledge on MIS and its implementation in Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex.

Abstract: 

In recent business world, the only thing seems to remain stable more than any other time, is changing. The process of strategic management is based on this believe that firms have to steadily watch over internal and external events and trends, so that they can adapt them selves with change in proper time and in terms of necessity.The research is focused on selecting a suitable strategy by the use of strategic management concept and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) technique which is one of the operational research techniques.To achieve this, first different factors in external environment were studied and existing threat and opportunities were found out.Then in order to find the strength and weak point of the company, the internal environment analyzed by emphasizing on financial and human aspects. with respect to the gathered information and by the use of matrix, the main strategy of company's situations in the market was determined and a suitable strategy was found. After that to select the best strategy, some questionnaire containing 115 questions was distribute among the decision making manager and the result were analyzed by AHP technique.At the end of the research, three strategic were found out including product development, horizontal integration and market penetration.

Abstract: 

In this paper after reviewing the necessity of scientific decision making, the multiple decision making models and the analytical hierarchy process are briefly defined as the techniques for decision making in human judgment. Then, considering the importance of inconsistency in analytical hierarchy process, the modified version of least square method is used to obtain the overall priority of alternatives and a simple method is given for detecting and improving the inconsistency factor in pair comparison matrix.

Abstract: 

As its main concern is the customers needs, the total quality management (TQM) is of high significance in organizations like insurance wherin customers do not buy companies products voluntarily.Since the implementation of TQM in every organization demands a model to be specific to the organization, researcher has been intended in this research to develop a TQM model for the Iran's insurance industry.Hence, the research's objective was to answer such question what the optimal TQM for the country's insurance industry was.The first step in this way was a prepatory and exploratory study to determine the current status of service quality in the country' s insurance industry. Identifying its influencing factors and to determine the TQM link with these factors. The entire management, staff and the insured (customers) in Iran, Alborz, and Dena's insurance comparis served as the study, population. Using 5 questionnaire, survey method was adopted. Pearson and Spearman Correlation, sign test, Willcockson test, Man-Vietney test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data.Finally, based on the study conducted, using SERQUAL and SERVQUAL gap model, quality of services in the insurance industry was measured and five gaps in services quality were identified, suggesting low quality of services in the industry. To improve the industry's service quality, researcher examined the influence of TQM principles and their influences on the SERVQUAL factors and gap model in such a way that adopting TQM principles results in service quality improvement in the insurance industry. At last, the researcher has proposed a TQM optimal for the country's insurance industry examing and integrating TQM approach, SERQUAL model, service quality gap model, and the statistical tests has confirmed the validity of the proposed model.

Abstract: 

Productivity is one of the most important subjects in the new world and each organization has to pay attention to this important issue. To improve productivity, it is necessary to determine each activity and find the improvable points. This is even more considerable for service industry. This study focuses on the services offered by workers of the passenger trains. The standard time of each activity was computed and were analysed by Stopwatch method. Finally, the number of workers needed was computed and some of the productivity improvement solutions were developed. The study indicated that the Labor productivity can be increased by 18%.
