Abstract: 

Aims Islamic lifestyle is related to all aspects of the life of individuals and has a major impact on personality and mental health of individuals. This research was conducted with the aim of investigating the correlation between lifestyle and happiness among athletes in Isfahan. Instruments & Methods This is descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population consisted of 200 athletes, who were active in sports clubs of Isfahan province in 2018. Out of athletes who exercised at least 3 days a week, 20 male and female athletes in volleyball, basketball, futsal, and swimming fields were randomly selected. The Kaviani Islamic Lifestyle Survey and the Oxford Happiness Questionnaire were used. The data were analyzed by SPSS 22 software, using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression. Findings There was a positive and significant correlation between the mean scores of Islamic lifestyle and happiness of the athletes (r=0. 63; p=0. 001). Worshipful life could significantly explain 17% of the variance of happiness in the first step, 22% along with the sinfulness variable in the second step, and 24% along with the inherent characteristics in the third step (p=0. 001). Conclusion Having an Islamic lifestyle has a positive effect on the happiness and mental health of athletes

Abstract: 

Aims Quality of life, as an important, structure has been studied from different aspects. Investigating the factors affecting this structure has always been of interest to researchers. The aim of this research was to investigate the correlation between religious beliefs and quality of life in one hand and to investigate the role of mediator of Islamic lifestyle in another Instruments & Methods This descriptive-correlative and applied research was carried out among all the attendees of the International Qur’ anic Exhibition (26th Exhibition) in 2018. The sample consisted of 103 visitors, who were selected by random sampling. The research instruments were George Religious Beliefs Questionnaire, Kaviani Lifestyle, and World Health Organization Quality of Life. The data were analyzed by SPSS 22 and Amos 22 softwares, using Pearson correlation, linear regression, independent t-test, and path analysis methods. Findings All 3 major research variables were positively and significantly correlated (p<0. 01). Also, religious beliefs and Islamic quality of life were able to predict quality of life and they could explain 28% and 33% of variance of quality of life variables, respectively (p=0. 001). The direct relationship between religious beliefs and quality of life was significant. Also, the mediator paths were significant as the main path. Hence, it can be said that Islamic lifestyle plays a mediator role in the relationship between religious beliefs and quality of life (p=0. 001) Conclusion The Islamic lifestyle is an important mediator in religious beliefs and quality of life.

Abstract: 

Aims Knowing the factors affecting the motivation of students’ academic achievement is very important. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Islamic life style and metacognitive skills on motivating the academic achievement of high school students in Kerman. Instruments & Methods In this descriptive-correlational study, 332 students in District 1 of Kerman were selected, using multistage cluster sampling method. The Hermann’ s motivation questionnaire, Kaviani Islamic life style questionnaire, and metacognitive skills questionnaire were used for data collection. The data were analyzed by SPSS 16 software, using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression. Findings The correlation between Islamic life style and all components of metacognitive skills with positive motivation was positive and significant (p=0. 01). Islamic life style explained the variance of motivation of academic achievement as 27% in the first step, 32% with the addition of self-esteem in the second step, and 34% with the addition of planning in the third step (p=0. 001). Conclusion Islamic life style and metacognitive skills are important factors affecting the students’ academic motivation.

Abstract: 

Aims The complexities of modern life cause various problems in people, one of which is depression. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual wellbeing and depression with the moderating role of the practicing religious beliefs. Instruments & Methods In this descriptive-correlational study, which was conducted in 2018, 205 male and female students of Shahid Chamran University were selected by convenience sampling and responded to questionnaires of spiritual well-being questionnaire, inventory practicing religious beliefs questionnaire (temple), and Beck depression inventory (short form). Data analysis was performed by SPSS 21 software, using Pearson correlation tests and hierarchical regression analysis. Findings There was a significant negative correlation between the practicing religious beliefs and their sub-components and spiritual well-being with depression (p<0. 01). The interaction of spiritual well-being and practicing religious beliefs and its components (personal, collective, practical, and religious) significantly increased the variance of depression (p<0. 05). Conclusion Practicing religious beliefs in the relationship between spiritual well-being and depression in students has a moderating role and increases the severity of the relationship between spiritual well-being and depression.

Abstract: 

Aims One of the most important tasks of universities and higher education institutions is highlevel education of human resources that can meet the economic, social, and political needs of the community. The aim of this study was to investigate the Role of teaching religious-psychological teachings on the quality and life style of Islamic Azad University students of Urmia. Instruments & Methods The current applied correlational research was conducted on all the staff of Islamic Azad University of Urmia. 384 subjects were selected by stratified random sampling method. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, containing 57 questions, in which 29 questions were related to quality of life, 13 questions were related to life style, and 13 questions were related to teaching religious-psychological teachings. The data were analyzed by SPSS software 25, using the KMO index, Chi-square test, Bartlett’ s test, and first order factor analysis, and the LISREL software 8. 2 was used to design a structural equation model using path analysis. Findings All of the research variables were significantly correlated. The most significant effect was related to direct effect of teaching religious-psychological teachings on quality of life (0. 39; p<0. 05). Teaching religious-psychological teachings was effective as much as 0. 25 on life style and 0. 33 on quality of life. Conclusion Education based on religious-psychological teachings plays a major role in improving the quality of life.

Abstract: 

Introduction In Islamic verses and narrations, there are many examples of life style that cover almost all aspects of human life. Considering that the higher objective of the Islamic society is to try to achieve Islamic civilization and that the formation of Islamic civilization is a prevalence of Islamic lifestyle, this study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effects of Islamic life style on mental health of family from the perspective of Islamic verses and narrations. This descriptive-analytical research was conducted with a library and documentary method along with the study of the Holy Quran and the narrations of Imams (PBUH). The verses and narrations about life style were extracted and categorized in the areas of mental health in individual and social fields and, ultimately, adapted to scientific instructions in the field of mental health. Conclusion Life style based on religion can be considered one of the main factors in the prediction and promotion of mental health. Religion can have an effective role in the psychological well-being of the individual and society with various mechanisms such as existence of hope, motivation, positivism in life, creation of a social and emotional support network, giving a clear and decisive answer to the concept of creation, the world, and life, the delightful explanation and definition of suffering, pain, and deprivation, as well as by giving meaning of human life and its salvation from emptiness, and on the other hand, by changing the cognition of man from death and the proper satisfaction of the motivation of survival, and by providing the concept of reward and compensation of difficulties.

Abstract: 

Introduction Since memorizing Quran has been recommended by the Prophet and Imams, it is expected to see visible effects in the memorizer and his/her life style. Therefore, the aim of this research was to express the degrees of memorizing Quran and to explain the effect of each degree on the human life style based on the teachings of Quran. This research was conducted by a library method, using content analysis approach and reviewing Quranic verses and valid interpretations as well as related narrations in valid narrative books. Conclusion Memorizing Quran, which is emphasized in the verses and traditions, includes memorization of the words of Quran, memorization of the concepts of Quran, memorization of the limits of Quran, and hearty memorization of Quran. Each degree can be an introduction to a higher degree. The impact of each degree of memorization of Quran on life style is different and it is consistent with that degree. Memorizing only the words of Quran does not provide all the benefits mentioned for memorizing Quran and modifies only some of the individual behavioral elements. In the higher degree, memorizing the concepts of Quran influences the individual’ s knowledge and provides the context for behavioral changes and its adaptation to lifestyle based on the teachings of Quran. Memorizing the limits of Quran, which is observing the commandments of Quran, is the adaptation of human behavior to the Quranic doctrines and, in fact, the objective reflect of the Quranic life style. Hearty memorization of Quran, as the highest degree of memorizing Quran, matches the interests, views, and tendencies of man with Quranic principles and shapes the actions and behavior of memorizer and, accordingly, gives him/her the prosperity of the world and Last Day.
