Introduction Background and Objectives: The vascular endothelium represents a dynamic boundary between the circulation and the surrounding tissue. Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) can move from the bone marrow to the systemic circulation through a variety of stimuli, including ischemia and exercise, to help maintain endothelial health and enhance the angiogenesis process. These cells can improve the function of ischemic organs by inducing angiogenesis mediators in places with low oxygen storage or by stimulating the regeneration of damaged vascular endothelial cells. In this review study, signaling pathways, stimuli, and factors affecting the production and activation of endothelial progenitor cells in normal and in exercise mode will be investigated. This paper describes the role of these cells in angiogenesis, reviewing articles from 1998 to 2015 on the cascade of endothelial progenitor cells and articles about the effect of physical activity on these cells. The results indicate that endothelial progenitor cells have an important role in the development of angiogenesis. There are two initial and delayed subsets for EPCs that delayed EPCs have the potential to differentiate into endothelial cells. Initial EPCs have more potential to promote vascular repair through paracrine. And in all stages of invoking, deployment, invasion, and differentiation of these cells, the various subunits of intrigines are of great importance. Various factors, such as testosterone, palmitate, TNF-α , and physical activity, affect the accumulation of EPCs. Regular physical activity, especially aerobic activity, depending on the intensity and duration of exercise, improves the function of these cells.

Introduction With the advances in technology and communications, telecommunications and wireless systems, mobile phones worldwide and the number of BTS antennas are increasing in cities. Due to the dangers of these waves on human health, the purpose of this study was to investigate the electromagnetic radiation emission around BTS antennas in Karaj residential areas. Materials and Methods By field monitoring, 57 stations in Karaj were selected. Three replicates were measured at 5, 10, 30, and 50 m intervals by a TES-92 calibrated instrument made by Taiwan. Statistical analysis was performed to compare the standard and the waves at intervals with SPSS software. Results The results showed that as the distance from the antennas increased, the power density of the electromagnetic waves decreased. In addition, within 10 meters of the masts, the highest measured wave density was obtained with an average of 10. 2222. There were significant differences at all distances except 5 and 30 meters (p <0. 05) and the results were lower than the ICNIRP standard. Conclusion The distance factor is the most important characteristic in determining the density of electromagnetic waves. It seems that the magnitude of the electromagnetic waves at 10 meters distance is more than 5 meters due to shading and environmental factors. The overall results indicate the safe conditions of electromagnetic waves caused by BTS antennas in the city of Karaj, which is recommended to monitor the installation of new antennas at safe distances to maintain the existing conditions.

Introduction Breast Cancer is the most prevalent type of cancer among women and is also the second major cause of cancer. Due to the acquired resistance of cancer cells against conventional therapies and recurrence of the sickness after treatment, new therapeutic strategies based on triggering apoptosis have been proposed. The purpose of the present study is to introduce a cytotoxic effect of biological silver nanoparticles toward breast cancer MCF-7 cells and evaluation of the caspase-activated DNase (CAD) gene expression at mRNA level. Materials and Methods Silver nanoparticles were synthesized according to the recent biosynthesize method. Afterward, the Silver nanoparticles were inspected using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. Different concentrations of 6. 25, 12. 5, 25, 50, 100, and 200 μ g/ml of Nanosilver particles were treated on MCF-7 cells for 24 hours and the results were evaluated using the MTT assay and IC50 were measured. The level expression of CAD gene was evaluated using real-time PCR. Results Silver nanoparticles were mostly spherical, having an average size of 9. 13± 4. 86 nm. Silver nanoparticles demonstrated a dose-dependent toxic effect toward MCF-7 cells. The IC50 value of silver nanoparticles was measured 49μ g/mL. In addition, the expression of CAD decreased by 0. 77 fold, compared to the control group. Conclusion The results of the present study demonstrated that the silver nanoparticles can induce cytotoxicity against breast cells and it is necessary to perform more tests against animal models.
