Sertoli- leydig cell tumors are extremely rare. These tumors are diagnosed most commonly in the second & third decades of life in young women. The tumors are frequently unilateral& low - grade malignancies.Seltoli-leyding cell tumors often produce. 70-75% of patients demonstrate clinical virilization.
We report a case of a seltoli leydig cell tumor , stage la of left ovary, on a 21 year old woman.
The initial clinical ,manifestation was 5 months amenorrhea that had been misdiagnosed with abortion & ovanan mass.
A physical examiniation revealed large abdominal tumor located in the central region of abdomen. She
didn"t show any signs of virilization.
Laparatomy was performed & left salpigoophorectomy with incisional biopsy of the right overy was carried out. Histopathologically, it was a moderately differentiated tumor without heterologous elements.
