Abstract

History and Objectives: Disabilities and CONGENITAL ANOMALIES are one of the most factors of children mortality and disability today In developed countries, the diseases decreased Mortality rate of CONGENITAL ANOMALIES is high among others. One of the most challenges of the world today is CONGENITAL ANOMALIES, then many families are in pain mentally or physically. This research is to certify the causes and prevalence rate of CONGENITAL ANOMALIES of NEONATEs in GONABAD.city in 1373-1380. Materials and Methods: This research is a descriptive and retrospective, all the files and notebooks of NEONATEs born in 1373-1380 were studied, 12319 live NEONATEs and 194 dead ones. blood group, Rh, mother age and all other data were collected. Results:The results showed that 60 live - born NEONATEs had CONGENITAL ANOMALIES among all, and this problem was more in males than females. The most common was from musculoskeletal and club-foot and the second one was neural tube defect. There was a meaningful difference between the number of labours and apgar score with the kind of anomaly. Conclusion: Since one of the children and NEONATEs mortality rate is CONGENITAL ANOMALIES and this needs money and time and the families have many problems to care as wall as some organization and institutions, then its necessary to do and perform these kinds of researches to recognize and control these kinds of anomolies.
