Abstract

ADENOMYOSIS is a diagnosis that presents after hystrctomy and. pathologic studies the dirction of modern medicine is a clinical diagnosis and medical treatment. clinicalfactors related is helpful in clinical diagonsis. From january 2000 till february 2002, 131 patients whom operated (hystrctomy) in Zeinab hospital were studied. The incidence of disease, was 31.3% and the peak, was in the fifth decade. The most common symptoms was:AUB, pelvic pain and secondary dysmenorrhea ,In most cases size of uterin was reported as normal and in 19.5% was accomplished with leiomyoma and in 45% larger than normal. We can aniticipate ADENOMYOSIS with description and careful examination and with medical treatment was avoided from adventitous surgery .
