Abstract: 

Nowadays the identity documents considered as a group of archival materials and documents represent the collective identity of each Country. The Birth certificates considered as first and foremost documents of Iranian identity in the early twentieth century and are the first documents that carriy the burden of collective identity of Iranians. The documents which recorded the tragic and fascinating events as the day of birth, marriage, names of children, divorce or death of a spouse and the date of the owner’s death. Basically, in Classification of documents history, the Birth certificates are the subset of the bureaucrats and the governmental - identity documents of the contemporary. This research intends to answer these fundamental questions: How did form and evolve the structure and content of identity documents in Iran? What are the identity functions of the Birth certificates and what factors have been impacted on them? This study aims primarily to study the resident’s identity of Iran before the modern state and then studying the Birth certificates of the perspective of identity functions and the knowledge of Studying Documents during the past century. The results of this study indicate that the structure and content of Birth certificates during the recent century is the subordinate of dominant discourse of the government that is affected by governmental bureaucracy system, dynamic bureaucracy and dominant cultural spaces.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study is evaluation of reachning to the components of citizenship education in Preschool Textbooks from viewpoints of preschool educators. The research method is descriptive survey. The population consists of preschool educators of Yazd in academic year of 2012-2013. The sample consisted of 120. Researcher-made questionnaire with 3 basic Components and 47 questions based on Likert scale was used for data collection. The research data was analysed by the sample t test and Friedman. The results showed that the rate of achievement of citizenship education components in the textbooks is in the knowledge behaviors (2.36) and the national-cultural behaviors (2.44) lower than the average level and in the social behaviors (3.53) is above the average level. In the knowledge behaviors component: The highest rating average is the item that “he can say logical no against demands of others” and the lowest rating average is the item that “he recognizes shapes and colors”. In national-cultural behaviors component: The highest rating average is the item that “he knows Leader and the president and knows their names”. And the lowest rating average item is “he knows Ethnic minorities that exist in the country”. In the Social behavior component: The highest rating average is the item that “he has motivation to progress” and the lowest rating average is the item that “he is forethoughtful in his works and decisions”.

Abstract: 

Norouz is one of the ancient rituals and traditions that celebrated at the beginning of the New Year in Iran’s civilization zone and is one of the factors of improvement of cultural integration between the countries of Iran’s civilization zone. Besides Iran, this ritual is also celebrated in other countries of Iran’s civilization area such as Central Asia and Caucasus, neighboring countries of Iran in west and east such as Iraq, Turkey, states of the southern Persian Gulf, Pakistan and even other regions such as Balkan and Peninsula. An exact survey of Norouz ritual among countries of Iran’s civilization area demonstrates that some traditions and rituals of Norouz are common in countries of Iran’s civilization area; nevertheless, some differences exist in some traditions related to Norouz. The main aim of this article is to survey on differences of norouz ritual among countries of Iran’s civilization zone and denotes the causes of these differences.

Abstract: 

The Education Department, in addition to preparing the contents of the curriculum, is effective in the establishment of understanding others and developing cognitive, affective, and action orientation of the students through strong and stable social networks in the educational environments and participation in extra-curricular activities. This research uses theoretical and experimental literature to study experimentally the influence of schools on religious and national identity of high school students. To examine this relation, a sample containing 353 high school students in Baneh has been used. The research is done based on the survey method using a questionnaire. The findings indicate that the religious and national orientation of the teachers, membership in student associations, participation in extra-curricular activities, relationship with school officials, interactive learning, and schooling years positively predict the development of national and religious identity. Among the independent variables, the variable “national and religious orientation of the teachers” has the greatest force in meaningful and positive prediction of national and religious identity and overall 60% of the variance of national and religious identity of the students is predictable with these variables.

Abstract: 

This paper presents a new approach to examine the relationship between cultural approaching with cultural identity in Iran. Hence, the aim of this paper is to design a model to cultural identity, for explanation and understanding of cultural approaches in the Islamic Republic. The research method is survey documentary that after studying the documents, as well as the analysis of library resources, review the presented findings based on directed interview technique with hundred scholars and experts for providing comprehensive model of cultural approaching in Iran. The results show that there is a significant contribution to the 33.87 percent between “cultural identity” and cultural approaching. Also, there is a range of factors and targeted variables in cultural identity that leads to the perception of cultural approaching of the country.

Abstract: 

The patriotism and nationalism are the poetic themes that poets influenced by socio-political conditions have paid attention to them for the sake of national unity and the freedom of societies and nations from colonialism. Rosafi and Shahriar are the contemporary Iraqi and Iranian poets, respectively, whose poems clearly show these themes. This paper tries to explore the poetry of the two poets to examine the concept of nationalism and the common themes related to the issue of national unity. The research method in this paper is based on the similarity of socio-political areas as well as adaptive school of Eastern Europe (Salafiyah School). Given the fact that the two poets were living in the same political environment, country has taken a new meaning in their poetry. Considering the nationalism, Rosafi has a wide and broad point of view. He has taken the unity of Arabic country as his aim. But from Shahriar’s point of view, Solidarity and Nationalism related to his country, Iran. He has invited Iranian ethnic groups, particularly the Azeri language speakers to the unity for Iran.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this paper is to examine different leisure style and their relationship to identity and educational style. Theories of Giddens an Bourdieu choose to be the framework. The population consists of young people of 29-19 years in Shiraz. 620 of them were selected using clustered random sampling and completed the questionnaire. The results indicate four leisure styles as body and health activities, having fun with friends and family, media style and religious style which men and singles are more active in them except for body and health style. The correlation results show that national, religious and gender identity have significant relations with styles of leisure but body and health. Educational style has been associated with religious style and body style. Cluster analysis showed two groups of respondents based on identities and socioeconomic status of families and lifestyles. The first cluster included 73.9 Percentage of respondents who have a strong religious identity and their socioeconomic status was lower and the percentage of women is higher in the cluster. The second cluster consists of 26.1 percent of the respondents that they have higher socioeconomic status and body style, media and entertainment pattern of leisure is more important for them and the percentage of male is more in the cluster. Relationships between identity and leisure styles in each cluster and the share of the socioeconomic status in these relationships have been investigated in this research.

Abstract: 

A principled way to analyze a social movement is to examine the degree to which the demands of the movement are consistent with its norms and theoretical framework. In this article, which focus on the movement of Mirza Koochak Khaan in Gilan, has been examined the chief demands of “Jangal”, the official newspaper of the movement. The aim is to verify the claim that the movement of Mirza Koochak Khaan was founded on the principles of (a) respecting Iran’s independence and national unity, and (b) respecting the rule of the legitimate parliament and the constitutional king. This article also has been examined the idea that the movement actually acted in accordance with these two principles. The methodology of this research is based on textual analysis of the aforementioned newspaper. This article has been conducted the textual analysis based on comparative methods and supplement it, as much as possible, with conceptual analysis. This research has been started by examining the historical process in which Mirza played a role in the people of Gilan’s uprising during the Constitutional Revolution. Thus, look for the roots of the movement in Gilan and analyze the historical context in which it was conceived. Further, point to the goals of the Constitutional Revolution which had not been achieved and which essentially led to rise of Miza’s movement. After this historical analysis, briefly discuss different views of social and political scientists, insisting that no single political/ social theory can account for all aspects of Mirza’s movement. Each of these socio-political theories explain some aspects of the Jangal movement in their own ways. However, we should note the local context in which the movement took place, and understand the way in which this contextual analysis adds to the theoretical framework.
