Abstract

Nowadays, urbanization, city population growth, social injustices and conflicts have led to SOCIAL DEVIATIONs and marginalization. However the types and the frequency of SOCIAL DEVIATION differ from one time period to another. Furthermore, urban areas are not similar in term of geographical dispersion of social problems. The purpose of the present study is investigation to the possible relationship of between the places of resident, i.e., SUBURBAN areas and non-SUBURBAN areas and SOCIAL DEVIATIONs in Aran and Bidgol. To this end, sample of 300 families, 150 for SUBURBAN and 150 no SUBURBAN families was randomly selected. The results indicated significant difference in the mean of the two samples. Sig=0.002 and T=-3.162. Furthermore, the results of two ways ANOVA indicated interrelationship between place of residence, physical condition, and level of education, amount of incomes, socio economic status and SOCIAL DEVIATION.
