Abstract

Objective: Purpose of this study was to identify the role of Blurbs written on Persian “ Holy Defense” books and its impact on book publishing in Iran during the period from 1982 to 2017. Methodology: The present study was carried out with a qualitative approach and the predictions were evaluated by hybrid content analysis method. Data were collected using observation, interview and checklist. To analyze the data, with using the qualitative method, the content and structural techniques used in the Blurbs written on Persian Holy Defense books were investigated. Descriptive statistics, Microsoft Excel and SPSS software were used to analyze the data. The statistical population in this study includes 57 Blurbs out of 55 Persian Holy Defense books that have been commentated in the period of 1982 to 2017. Findings: Current research showed that "Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei", with 53 Blurbs of the Holy defense Persian books, has the most Blurbs. Also The Foundation for the Protection of Works and Values of the Holy Defense with about 2, 200 titles, has the largest number of Holy Defense Persian books, Artistic sphere of the Islamic propaganda organization, Sura Mehr Publications (76. 3%) has the highest frequency in printing, "Khak haye narme kooshk" with 949 times has the highest frequency in print and also “ Da; memories of Seyyede Zahra Hosseini” is one of the most prolific and most sold Blurb books of Holy Defense. The category of expressing emotions and feelings with 100 percent, the information with 100 percent, and the importance of the subject matter with 80. 7 percent, are the most frequent in the Blurbs. Regarding the interview with 7 publishers with the most printed Holy Defense books, the findings showed that the "Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei" Blurbs had a great influence on the number of printing, circulation and sales of books, and were most welcomed at exhibitions. Memories and biographies are most interest, the younger generation's interest in the novel. It is not possible to write a suitable novel because literature in Iran is young, the author of the Holy Defense is low and the narrators are still alive. Family, educational system and economic problems are factors of low level of study in society. The most important feature of the "Ayatullah Seyyed Ali Khamenei"’ s Blurbs can be summarized as follows: the subject matter of the book is very important to him, He pays attention to the realities, also the emotional dimension of the story. He is a book reader, book writer, literary critic, professional poet and he has an expert opinion. Conclusion: "Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei" is the biggest incentive for books and reading in the country, known as a professional reader and an expert in this field. The Blurb of effective people influences the circulation and expansion of the printing industry, also increasing the hours spent on the study and development of book publishing culture in the country. Writing Blurb in publishing and promoting the culture of research and writing, the encouragement and presentation of young writers, the editing and supervision of books, the introduction of good and specialized books, the elimination of the defects of written books and the indirect teaching of writing is effective. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’ s notes have also played an important role in introducing these books to the community and increasing their circulation. The most important characteristic of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's approximations is that he is a book reader, book writer, literary and professional poet because he specializes in literature. Especially in the field of poetry, his point of view is a reference point. Therefore, the influence of the influential people is increasing the circulation and welcoming of more readers. A review of the book's best-selling and best-selling works in the field of sacred defense shows that audiences are more likely to favor the work of memoir and biography. Another point to consider in the bestselling books on the sacred defense field is that people and the public are more interested in reading the facts and content of the Iran-Iraq War than reading fiction. In addition, such books containing memories and narratives provide the raw material for various stories and films by the producers of these works.
