Abstract

Research was carried out on HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARIES in KERMANSHAH city to know more about their status regarding physical conditions, collections, budget, services, and manpower as well as to identify shortcomings. 141 HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARIES were surveyed. Findings show that the ratio of books to students is 4.97. Also 124 (out of 141) high schools had a library but deprived from the least facilities needed. The area and space of the libraries are not responsive to the number of students.
