Abstract

Introduction: Cities in the world today are facing challenges that are caused by the transformations resulting from the progress of science and industry and the design of new organizational and social needs Research aim: The aim of the current research is to compile the strategies of smart cities in Iran with an emphasis on the city of Urmia. Methodology: The type of research is digestive research, applied, and its research method is descriptive and analytical. The statistical population of this research is 32 professors, specialists and experts in the field of urban planning. The method of data collection for examining the components of the Smart City is in two forms: documentary (secondary data) and survey (primary data) and the tools used in the survey method are questionnaires and interviews, and for experimenting and analyzing data from network analysis models and Metaswat is used. Studied Areas: The geographical area of this research is the city of Urmia. Results: The findings show that the criteria of smart people and smart economy have the highest score of 0. 1 and 0. 77, respectively, and the criteria of smart environment and smart life have the lowest importance and impact in the movement of Urmia City to 0. 5 and 0. 35 respectively. They have the direction of a Smart City. Conclusion: The results show that the formulation of long-term plans to attract economic partnerships and specialized human forces (use of human capabilities) and the implementation of diverse technological programs on the one hand and investment in information and communication technology infrastructures according to the geographical location, industrial and commercial potentials, foreign trade capacities, touristic, academic and research attractiveness, etc., on the other hand, are the most important strategies in making the city of Urmia more intelligent.
