Abstract

Today, one of the concerns of big cities is issues related to the environment and sustainability. Human societies unintentionally affect the environment to meet their needs. The issue of Public transportation within the city is one of the important issues in this field, which has a great impact on the environment, and if they are chosen, with proper management and attention to sustainable development, their destructive impact can be minimized. Therefore, in this research, the quality of metro, BRT, taxi, and SNAP services, which are among the most important transportation systems in the city of Tehran, has been examined using SERVQUAL and it has been determined which one has the smallest gap between the expectations and perceptions of citizens. Then, using one of the multi-criteria decision making techniques called Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process, these four systems have been evaluated and prioritized. Finally, the best transportation system that causes the least damage to the environment and has the greatest impact on citizens has been determined.
