Abstract

Geotourism, is a special form of tourism in which Geo-sites are at the focus of attention. Geo-sites in addition to scientific values, also have protective, cultural, aesthetic, social and economic values. So in this research Geo-sites in the county of Marivan, have been studied. For this purpose 12 main Geo-sites of the county have been identified and assessed. To evaluate the geosites three methods of Gam, Fassoulas and Kubalikova have been used and after evaluation using criteria and sub-criteria of any of the methods, based on the scores obtained, the Geo-sites of the region are ranked. After evaluating ge-osites, zoning map of the suitable areas to the development of geotourism is provided. For this purpose, 8 parameter is used and in order to do zoning, the fuzzy logic model AHP has been used. The results indicate that Zribar Lake, Bilo Plain, Navtagh Plain and Ghamchian Zone have the highest value. Also, given the criteria were considered in these methods can be said that the Geo-sites of the region have not good condition in terms of management and protection. Therefore, it is necessary to take necessary measures in order to development of the geotourism industry in the county in the area of management, protection and awareness of the people.
