Abstract

Regional planning aimed atthe Create developmentand reducing inequalities is one of the most important issues in developing countries. Requires Regional PlanningIdentify the status of areas relative to each other in terms of development. Among the common criteria for regional planning, the leveling of areas is based on having different development indicators. The purpose of this article is to Leveling the cities of West Azerbaijan Province from the point of view of the development and analysis of regional inequalities. The research method is descriptive-analytical and the method of collecting library and documentary information. The survey indicators consist of 44 indicators, including socio-cultural, educational, Health-Therapy, infrastructural and economic indicators. To determine the development levels of the cities of West Azerbaijan, models (topsis, SAW) and ArcGIS software has been used to draw maps and layers of information. The results showed that the cities of Urmia, Poldasht, Oshnavieh, the best situation and the cities of Piranshahr, Chaldoran and Nagadeh have the worst developmental situation.
