Abstract

The contemporary American scholar, William Chittic, has translated the Sahifeh Sajjadieh into English, and has published it with a preface including the biography of Imam Sajjad (p.b.u.h), the book Sahifeh Sajjadieh, and the formalities of praying in Islam.In this essay, which is in fact, an abstract of the Chittic’spreface, you will get information about the history of the book Sahifeh, the prays of Imam Sajjad, a study about the copies of Sahifeh Sajjadieh, Other studies and investigations about it, the influence of prays in educatoin of the mankind, the Islamic view towards the prays, the aspects and characteristics of the prays of Sahifeh, and the method of his translation.
