Abstract

This present study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of Group LOGO THERAPY on MEANING OF LIFE and FAMILY FUNCTION for mothers having child suffering from AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.Statistical population included all mothers of children with AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS who approached the Beh-Ara Daily rehabilitation clinic for children with special disorders. A total of 20 mothers were selected as samples using a convenience sampling method and were randomly divided into control and experimental groups.Research design was pretest-post-test design with control group and follow-up.The "purpose in life" and ''FAMILY FUNCTION" questionnaire was used as a research tools based on the educational group LOGO THERAPY sessions during eight sessions, each ninety minutes. Results showed that there were significant differences in the mean scores of experimental and control groups and group LOGO THERAPY enhances FAMILY FUNCTION and the MEANING OF LIFE and improves the performance of mothers children with of AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS in the treatment group compared with the control group (P<0.01), Also the increase of the efficacy of group LOGO THERAPY on the MEANING OF LIFE and the improvement of the FAMILY FUNCTIONing was consistent at follow-up sessions.Therefore, it is possible to use the LOGO THERAPY to improve FAMILY FUNCTION and MEANING OF LIFE among mothers with children with AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS.
