Abstract

In this Article, we state briefly at first, some DESCARTES' discussions on epistemology, including stages of his DOUBT, his way to arrive to fundamental certainty and characteristics of this certainty. Then, DESCARTES' view about REASON is discussed. With reference to DESCARTES' works, his view about FAITH especially about GOD is survived. In continue, DESCARTES' view about relationship between REASON and FAITH is compared with view of AUGUSTINe and Aquinas. Then it is maintained that DESCARTES' view is similar to Aquinas. At the end, this view is criticized.
