Abstract

Iran has experienced many changes in the recent decades and an increasing DIVORCE rate is among these changes. The end of married life is the beginning of a process that is fraught with many problems. This study examines socio- ECONOMIC SECURITY and SOCIAL CAPITAL among DIVORCEd WOMEN and their relationship. For this purpose, a survey method was used and 200 DIVORCEd WOMEN were randomly selected. Findings show that WOMEN's economic insecurity is only slightly more than their social insecurity. This indicates the importance of social protection for DIVORCEd WOMEN, because despite the importance of economy and livelihood, WOMEN’s social concerns are approximately the same level. Average levels of trust in relatives are very low and are close to thin trust. It can be said that the area of thick trust has been narrowed for DIVORCEd WOMEN. Correlation coefficient and multiple regression show that there is relationship between socio- ECONOMIC SECURITY and SOCIAL CAPITAL. Among the SOCIAL CAPITAL indicators, social trust in ECONOMIC SECURITY model and social relationships in the model of SOCIAL SECURITY are significant factors. Thirty percent of ECONOMIC SECURITY and 45% of SOCIAL SECURITY changes can be explained by the running model.
