Abstract

In this article, “third wave of ISLAMIC AWAKENING” has been applied for a set of developments that started at the end of 2010 from North Africa and spread into other Arab countries. ISLAMIC REVOLUTION [of Iran] is considered the second wave. The first wave of ISLAMIC AWAKENING is applied for a set of reactions that occurred in the second half of eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in Islamic world especially after industrial revolution against political-cultural attack of west. Occurrence of these waves as a “scientific issue” has led to this question: “what relation is there between three waves of ISLAMIC AWAKENING which have happened in a period of two centuries- and INTERNATIONAL DOMINATION SYSTEM?” Although waves of awakening have occurred under different intellectual, political and social circumstances, the author’s hypothesis is that “three waves of ISLAMIC AWAKENING” is a reaction against “INTERNATIONAL DOMINATION SYSTEM” and their internal agents within the span of Islamic world.
