Abstract

Planning of dimensional stone quarry operation is an important but a neglected task, and the lack of a proper decision variable seems to be the main obstacle. However, there is no single variable to use in dimensional stone quarries. In the paper we have focused on wire consume and outputs in Ahrar Sepahan’s TRAVERTINE quarry in different mining face and on the basis of different TRAVERTINE types. Results show that several operating factors such as block size and cutting velocity as well as TRAVERTINE types affect wire output.
