Abstract

URUK period, the era of civilization in southern Mesopotamia and Iran, is recognaizable by material culture production changes that one of them was large quantitiy of plain potteries instied of before painted tradation.During the late URUK period, in southwestern Iran, some setteled sites flourished and became large centers specially in Susiana plain. Chogha Mish, Susa and ABU FANDOWAH were most important among them with more than 15 Ha. Measurement. We would like to focus on URUK potteries of one of the mentioned sites which is ABU FANDOWAH, next to the Susa city in the Northern Khuzestan- southwestern Iran. It is survyed and excavated in 2006 year but we will discuss about southern complex of above site that is surveyed by Strip method. We sprated URUK potteries into three main categories and tried to introduse most of URUK wares rim forms, Bevelled Rim Bowlsand other decorations which are observable on the body sherds
