Abstract

This paper aimed pridicting role of 3 components of psychological flexibility (acceptance and action, values and cognitive defusion) for borderline personality disorder.Samples of this study involve 131 Shiraz university students selected by convenience- sampling procedure. The instruments used in this study consisted of Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire (PDQ-4+), ACCEPTANCE and Actionsecond revised (AAQ-II), Value-oriented life and Cognitive Defusion Questionnaire. Results of the present study showed that borderline personality disorder meaningful corelation with ACCEPTANCE and action, values and cognitive defusion. ACCEPTANCE and action explained 45% of the variance of the borderline personality disorder. It could be conclude that experiential avoidance was a robust predictor of borderline personality disorder and it should be a main theraupatic target in treatment of borderline personality disorder.
