Abstract

Uthmani’s Musahaf has an important place in the history of Islam and the Quran. Among them one Mushaf is remained and preserved in the TASHKANd museum of history and probably it is uthman’s personal Mushaf. This article is a brief report concerning the background of its compilation and its transfere from Madinah to other lands and finally to TASHKANd. It contains also a brief talk about the style of Arabic writing and its arrival to Hijaz and its development, though this discussion is secondary here. But with reference to certain historical sources the main talk here pertains to the Mushaf which is attributed to uthman which can avail us with a short and brief information.
