Abstract

Sacredness of animals, namely COW, is a common theme in all myths. COW, as the first mythological animal, has an important role in different nations, which is reflected in their literature. By a mythological analysis, a new interpretation can be proposed about the role of COW in ANCIENT ARABIC LITERATURE. Applying a comparative mythological analysis, in this article, we try to study themes like the “battle of bison and hounds”, “cows and bearing rain”, and “cow and GENIEs” in ANCIENT ARABIC LITERATURE.
