Abstract

 Dadestan I Menog I Xrad is Middle Persian language and containts sixty-three chapters. This book belongs to the genre of advice literature. Neryosang translated it into Sanskrit in the 14th century. Neryosang's Sanskrit is a word-for-word translation and cannot be understood without the studying of the Middle Persian text, its characteristics differentiate it from Classical Sanskrit and make it similar to Iranian Languages.It is necessary to compare it with Middle Persian text and study its linguistic peculiarities. Dadestan I Menog I Xrad is translated into Persian in the 18th century A.D. In this paper, transitive past tense and Ergative construcation of Dadestan I Menog I Xrad and its methods of translation into Sanskrit and Persian will be discussed.
