Belief in the Almighty God is the first doctrinal principle in the religion of Islam and one of the main factors in achieving perfection and eternal happiness. This research seeks to answer the
question as to what role belief in the Almighty God plays in human’s tendency towards perfection. The authors of this narrative-analytical article have used the method of thematic interpretation and referred to the verses of the Holy Quran to come to the conclusion that, in many cases, belief in God can be effective in faithful people’s desires and tendencies and their path to eternal happiness. These effects include adjusting the sexual instinct, adjusting love of wealth, affection and kindness of parents towards their children and vice versa, surrendering to the right, love and friendship, giving direction to fear and hope, creating confidence and peace of mind.
