ANALYSIS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BARRIERS BETWEEN UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEMBERS AND INDUSTRIAL SECTOR IN ACHIEVING ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

 This research has been conducted in the domain of UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY INTERACTION in order to analyze the INDIVIDUAL BARRIERS of the relationship between university faculty members and Industrial Professionals in three levels of Knowledge, attitude and behavior/skill. INDIVIDUAL BARRIERS are those barriers that prevent one individual to interact with another one. Hence, DELPHI TECHNIQUE and SMART (social marketing model) were used to identify the barriers, select the most important ones and find the solutions and then ranking them. Target population was divided to university faculty members and industry professionals from whom a sample was selected by Chain Referral Sampling Method. The selected sample was surveyed in order to realizing the consensus regarding the barriers. After conducting a five-phase Delphi-SMART mixed model, the most important barriers and their solutions were identified according to each sector (university faculty members and industry professionals) finally, the SOCIAL MARKETING mix stemmed from these results and strategies for overcoming these barriers were determined.
