Abstract

For as much as in all countries, there is some degree of inequality, many differences between rich and poor income groups can be found in both developed countries and developing. Nowadays increasing inequality in the third world countries reduces the purchasing power of people, and households, the smaller percentage of their budgets devoted to HEALTH.This article examines the relationship of INCOME INEQUALITY and HEALTH in selection Ole member countries. Therefore the PANEL DATA, random and fixed effects models are used to estimate model reviewed for the period of 1980-2005. In this model, life expectancy and child mortality are as HEALTH indicators and Gini coefficient is the criterion of inequality Income.The results of the estimation model show that high levels of INCOME INEQUALITY, increased child mortality and life expectancy is reduced. Also, according to ABSOLUTE INCOME HYPOTHESIS, life expectancy increases at a decreasing rate with income.
