Abstract

This paper examines the effects of GLOBALIZATION in TERMS OF TRADE of Iran that indicate imparting international trade advantages. Using a vector auto-regressive (VAR) model, the effect has been evaluated in net, gross and income TERMS OF TRADE over the annual period of 1961- 2007. Suitable instruments such as impulse response functions and variance decomposition are one of the advantages of VAR MODEL. Then, the Vector - Error Correction Model (VECM) is used to see the long run relation among variables. Results show that the effect of GLOBALIZATION on net barter, gross and income TERMS OF TRADE of Iran in the long run is negative.
