Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the status of the messianic beliefs in secondary school students in Qom. The type of research is descriptive and the statistical survey research, which involves all students in Qom, randomly selcted from the pool of 30,404 secondary level students and 602 students were selected using stratified random sampling. The researcher has made a questionnaire including 40 questions of the spectrum in terms which is in a five-point Likert response package. Content validity of the questionnaire is confirmed by experts and informants. reliability coefficient of the questionnaire using Cronbach's alpha was 0.83 respectively. The inferential statistical analysis (t-test and ANOVA) were performed using the statistical software SPSS. The results showed that most students understand and had correct answers to questions about the Imam. The mean of true responses is higher than average regarding the expected emergence, philosophy and the faith questions and in the faith in Mahdi's philosophy of occultation.
