Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to recognize the role of bank credits in ECONOMIC GROWTH. The research method is applied and of two procedures descriptive- survey and is based on multiple regression analysis and panel data for data analysis that is a combination of Time series and Cross-section data. The statistical population was all active COMMERCIAL BANKS of Golestan province (7 banks) during 1998-2006. All data were derived from their annual financial statements.Findings demonstrated particularly industry section COMMERCIAL BANKS offering bank credits to different sections among which industry sections has had greater influence on ECONOMIC GROWTH. The non DUTY CREDITS also played a more important role than DUTY CREDITS in ECONOMIC GROWTH of the province.
